Lia

I woke up early to get breakfast with Lando before he had to leave for practice. I didn't have to be in work until qualifying tomorrow, so I was just a spectator today. I decided I would get breakfast with Lando and go shop at the stores near his apartment during practice 1 and get to the track for the second practice.

"Hi,  I'm here for Lando Norris, apartment 4043." I told the security guard at the entrance, who then sent a message up to Lando before letting me up.

"Amelia Bryan! To what do I owe this pleasure?" Lando opened the door with a smirk, leaning on the side.

"I can turn around asshole." I told him, raising my eyebrows to see if he would let me in.

"I'm only joking, Melia. Come in." He moved out of the way to let me in and I stepped into his doorway, taking in the hundreds of helmets he had lining the walls. He had different paintings of his car or him in his race suit hung on the walls or leaning on the floor.

"Damn, are you a driver or something?" I look at his shelf of helmets by the TV.

"Something like that." He says as I laugh.

"Seriously though, what a collection. My friends and I talk about how you have the best helmet designs on the grid." I turn back to him, smiling.

"You talk about me to your friends a lot, Lia?" He says, taking a step closer to me.

"Yea...it's almost like its my job." I say with fake surprise, grinning up at him.

"Oh, right, talking to your friends about me is your job. I forgot." I rolled my eyes at him and to look at the rest of the paintings in his room. I stopped at a painting of him lifting his first podium's bottle of champagne onto his hat.

"My first podium. Zak got it from me after this guy sent him an email he painted it." I could feel him follow behind me, watching me as I looked at his memorabilia.

"I remember watching it. Eli and I watched that race together." I turned around to face him, but I didn't realize he was so close behind me so I was standing two inches away from him. He smiled softly, before lifting his hand to push a strand of hair behind my ear.

"So, what did Chef Lando make for breakfast?" I stepped away and asked before it went further. Lando's smile faltered slightly, before he grinned again and leading me to the kitchen.

"He made his famous waffles and fruit bowls. Do you want anything on your waffles?" He pulled out a bar stool for me and walked around to the other side of the counter.

"Famous, huh? I'll have to judge that, but I'll just take syrup, thank you." He plated both our plates and set them down before grabbing two glasses and filling them with orange juice and he sits down next to me.

I took a bite of the waffles, before turning to him with my eyes wide in shock.

"These are really good." I told him after swallowing.

"Are you actually shocked?" He laughed.

"Yes. You do not look like a cooker." I say, still surprised.

"Okay, this is the one thing I can cook, but I'm proud of them." He admits, while I laugh.

We eat the rest talking about our different cooking skills before I had to leave for practice day and he had to get ready to drive his car.

"Thanks Lando. It was a good breakfast." I looked at his eyes as we were standing by his door.

"Thank you for coming." He grinned. We stood in silence, just looking at each other, before he leaned in to give me a hug. I hugged him back and we stood like that for a little bit. When he pulled back, he leaned back in and kissed me on the cheek, smirking as he pulled away.

"See you at the track, Melia." He smiled. I couldn't help but smile back at him and turned and stepped out of his apartment.

My job today was just to write articles about every team's strategies. Since I spent all day in the comms room, I decided a session of writing outside in the paddock was necessary. Monaco was truly beautiful. Especially when there were people and cars on track, the city comes alive. So, I grabbed my computer and my notepad and sat outside the F1 hospitality right after fp2. A half hour later, Max, Lando and Oscar walking through the paddock stopped in front of me and peeked at my computer.

"Make sure to say that my strategy is to crash into everyone and win on Sunday." Lando said, sitting next to me, grabbing my computer to add the quote in himself.

Max and Oscar sat across from us on the table, each holding a water bottle, advertising their respective team.

"Lando, add that even though you crash into me, I steal your car during your pit stop and win myself." Max said.

"Ok no." I pull the computer from Lando's grip and close it.

"What are you doing, Lia?" Oscar, being the one mature one here asked.

"Just strategy reports. I'll send them to you tonight, so be sure to do what I said you should do so I look smart and a team will want me." I grin at them.

"Yep, i will do exactly what you say. Whatever." Lando says, straight-faced, as Oscar and Max share a look and laugh to each other.

I roll my eyes at him before responding. "What are you guys doing here anyway? Go work."

"We have media, but somethings wrong I guess, we have to wait." Oscar nods at the crowd of F1 drivers and their PR managers surrounding the media pen.

"Huh." I shrugged before turning back to the drivers in front of me.

"So how'd your cars feel?" I ask them.

"Not too bad, I think both Lando and I are just behind the Ferraris in pace." Lando nods to confirm what Oscar says.

"I think we lack a little bit of pace but it should be fine I guess." Max says after.

We all look up as all of their PR managers come up to our table and call them to finally start media.

"Bye guys, good luck this weekend!" I wave at them as they get up.

"Thanks Lia! See you around." Max says before walking with his PR officer. Oscar smiles and waves back at me and follows his manager.

Lando smiles at me before he leaves, waving at me. He turns back around, walking backwards, and says "yea, see you around, Melia."
