06 friends,maybe?

After that interesting talk with Lynn I was too embarrassed to face her. Embarrassed because I had a feeling she wasn't convinced I actually like Ethan so I just look pathetic in her eyes. So I put off doing the project for 4 days,giving us 2 days to finish it. I was so done with this stupid project I had enough of it,despite being embarrassed I mustered up the courage to text her.

lynn answer your phone.

What the hell it's been 2 hours where is she? If she doesn't answer me then we are definitely flunking this project. She had nothing on Sundays no baseball,basketball,soccer,nothing. So why is she not answering her phone? I was starting to get a bit anxious now until I remembered I literally live right next to her,well not exactly next to her but you get what I mean.

I walked towards her house and took a deep breath before ringing the doorbell.

"Oh Vivian! What a surprise! Here to see Lynn?" Mrs Loud said excitedly.

"Yes I am she doesn't know I'm here actually she didn't pick up her phone so I came here instead I hope that's okay." I said. It was weird talking to Mrs loud so formally because back when me and Lynn were close I would talk to her as if she was my own mother.

"Well Lynn has been really sick for days now she's been vomiting,coughing,sneezing she has never been this sick before! Maybe you can quickly check on her than go home I don't want you falling sick too!" She said concerned.

"Oh okay thanks Mrs loud don't worry I have a very strong immune system."I assure her with a smile.

I went up the stairs only to see all of Lynn's siblings crowding around the door while covering their ears trying to block out Lynn's loud coughing.

"Oh hey Vivian! Lynn's currently dying so I don't know if you guys can hang out." Luna screamed in order for me to hear her over all the noise.

"Could I see her?" I asked while covering my ears as well.

"You...you wanna go inside?"Luan asked concerned

"I had to sleep with Lincoln because of Lynn." Lucy said with her monotone voice.

I was starting to get concerned. Lynn's sickness sounded really serious. I inched my way to the door knob but before I could twist it Lori grabbed my wrist while mouthing the words "good luck".

I anxiously turned the knob and stepped inside. There were so many tissues on the floor and many medicine bottles on her nightstand while Lynn was coughing profusely. She was wearing a white singlet with the number "01" on it while wearing long red pants with a messy ponytail,her back facing me.

As I walked closer I saw a cold blue towel on her forehead along with her hand covering her mouth,trying to stifle her coughs. Her nose was red and here eyes were squeezed shut.

"No more cough medicine please.." Lynn muttered before coughing again.

"Dude are you okay?" I asked concerned before placing my hand on her bare shoulder which was really warm.

"Viv?" Lynn mumbled.

Viv? Lynn hasn't called me that in a while but it was.. nice I guess she doesn't really despise me now right?

"Yeah?" I reply.

Lynn turned around as her eyes fluttered open. The moment she saw me she quickly jolted up and cleared her throat.
Seconds later she started coughing again,admitting defeat she laid back down while groaning.

"Why are you here" she asked in a slightly more raspy voice than usual.

"I was spamming your phone but you didn't pick up so I came here. Turns out your dying in here so I should just go." I said before walking away from her bed.

"Wait." Lynn said.

"Please stay."

My eyes widened slightly. I didn't expect her to say that considering her whole "i rather shit my pants than sit next to you" agenda towards me.

"I'm sorry for past 2 days I've been alone in this stupid room *cough*"

"Fine I'm only doing this cause your obsessed with me."

"Am not"

"Are too."

"Don't make me puke on you Miller."

"Try me loud."

Lynn turned to look at me with a confused look.

"Wait no that's not what I meant."

"Fine if you insist" Lynn said while laughing before pretending to get up.
