My dearest love, beneath Sweden's cold skies,
I pray this letter reaches your eyes.
As bombs shake the earth and the winters bite,
Know I am with you, each day, each night. In England's factories, I toil away,
Turning steel to hope through the long, gray day.
My hands know the rhythm of danger and strife,
Yet each twist and turn holds dreams of your life.Your boots march through frost, through fire and rain,
Through trenches dug deep in a world of pain.
But love, let my words be a shield for your heart,
A piece of my soul, though we're oceans apart.I picture you wrapped in the snow's cruel veil,
While the winds of war howl their mournful tale.
But even in darkness, a spark still burns—
The promise of peace, of a world that turns.Do you hear the clock's relentless hum?
Counting the hours 'til you return?
Do you feel my breath in the silent night?
A whisper that urges, "Hold on, fight."Our boy asks often when you'll be home.
He's learned to be strong while we're alone.
I teach him to dream, to smile through tears,
To believe in the dawn, despite the fears. So, my darling, stay steadfast and true,
Through Sweden's icy halls, I'll wait for you.
And when war's tide recedes, love will remain—
Unbroken, enduring, through loss and gain.Until that day comes, I send this to say,
I love you, I miss you, I'll pray as I lay.
For the world to heal, for peace to arise,
And for your safe return to my arms and my skies.
