~ One ~

"... GET YOUR LAZY BUTT DOWN HERE, YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!", My older brother yelled up at me.

"OKAY I'M UP!" I Shouted back down to him. Dad was already at work we normally go for a run in the morning and take the dogs with us to get them some exercise, but he let me sleep in today knowing that it would be stressful.

As today I'm taking the test, they say we are supposed to trust the test that it will tell me who I am and where I belong. If I am Kind, Honest, Smart, Selfless, or Brave. I'm scared that the test will tell me to leave, leave my family and everything I know behind, but I'm even more scared that it will tell me to stay.

I normally walk to school which means I get distracted and get there late which is why my older brother Jason is dropping me off on his way to do the rounds and drop food of at Abnegation for the factionless. I quickly get changed and run down the stairs grab an apple off the table and run out the door before having to quickly turn back to grab my shoes that I had forgotten... again and into the truck.

As we are driving along, I can feel Jay looking over at me every now and then. "What?" I asked next time he looked at me. "Are you nervous? It's alright to be you know it will mean a big change whether you stay here or not." He questioned me while also trying very poorly might a add to comfort me.

"No, I'm not nervous, just don't want to do it." I responded.

"So, your nervous." He stated.

"No"

"Yes"

"No" I said glaring at him annoyed that we were still talking about the test.

"Yes, you are" he repeated in a sing song voice.

"Okay! Fine I am nervous. What are you going to do about it now that you have confirmed your suspicions?" I asked frustrated throwing my hands up in exasperation and then running them through my hair that I hadn't managed to put up yet.

"Oh, nothing I just wanted to annoy you, and it worked." He smiled cheekily at me, before turning back to the road.

"Ugh you're a nuisance." I replied wanting to pull my hair out and the day hasn't even started yet at the rate that I'm going I'm going to be bald by lunch.

"Yes, yes I am" He smugly said and then continued "Only to you only though, now get out we're here." I hoped out of the truck and he sped off leaving me to face this alone.

"Quick get up." Said the abnegation woman in a rushed tone and dragged me off the chair pulling me towards the back door by my arm. "What? What's going on? What were my test results?" I asked starting to worry.

"They were inconclusive." She said, not looking at me but at the front door seemingly terrified of what was about to come through the walkway. "What does that mean? The test was supposed to tell me where to go." I asked getting more worried and started to look back at the door she hadn't taken her eyes off.

"It means that the test didn't work on you, you got more than one faction." She said finally looking at me. "Amity, Erudite, and Dauntless, I manually entered Amity, so you are going to go home early and tell your parents that the serum made you sick. Good luck." She said and gently pushed me out the door and closed it behind me before I could further question her.
