This is Forever! - A Dawsey Story Prequel

My love

Note: I want to write this prequel in a way that it's like a diary. Like Gabby i telling her kids how they met.

Marriage is a funny thing to look back on. Just about 11 years ago I met my husband. I was moving from my old fire-station that I was at for about 2 years. I became PIC on Ambo and transferred here, to 51. I was excited because of all the thing I heard about 51. I was excited to start working. I knew this was the place to be and if I were to be a candidate here that would be even better. I walked in and saw everyone standing near the trucks. I looked as I saw this tall blonde guy walk towards me, I started to speak " excuse me.. Hi! I'm Gabby Dawson... I'm the new PIC on ambulance 61.." He smiled " yeah.. I'll go get Erica.." Erica was my partner for a couple years before Shay was. She walked out and smiled       " hey Erica James.. your the new PIC.." I smiled " Yeah.. Gabby Dawson.." She smiled and shook  my hand " Great! let me show you around.." We were pretty close until she transferred out after a kid was killed. It just broke her because we were called to their house several times. We always tried to help, but then this little girl suddenly died. We did what we could. That was all. 

I loved everything about house 51. It was a family to us. When Shay joined this family we all just became closer very quickly. It was actually surprising. I got along with most of my parents. It's just there was something special about her. She got me in the most interesting way. We really did get each other. When she died, it was tragic, and I didn't know how to go on. Matt helped me out of that I guess. It also helped being around the ones I love.
