Luc was driving, Café Timeless by the River slowly getting smaller behind him. He had a good coffee, made a new friend, but now? He was back to square one again, that being, that he had nothing to do, and was bored.
He was driving down the street, and soon found himself on the main street, and he looked around. North Nocavern, by the locals often abbreviated at NNCV. While it wasn't the town he was born in, it was the town he lived in for 2 years. If you would only see the town without any information, you would think that this city is located somewhere in Europe, around the area of Germany, but it isn't. It's located in Oregon, USA.
Founded sometime close to the end of 1859 by Europeans, it always stayed disconnected from the rest of the US, and stayed close to how Europe evolved, which soon got it his Motto: "North Nocavern – Americas Little Europe".
Everywhere you looked, it looked European, not American. The houses, the streets, the infrastructure, everything. But this is a phenomenon only visible here. If you drive even one town further, NNCV's neighbor town, North Narrolock, is what you would imagine a small American town to be.
Luc continued driving, and suddenly found himself in the outskirts of the town. This street was one he never drives on. It only lead to a country road, not even one that leads to any town near North Nocavern. With an empty street, Luc pressed on the gas. "Finally, the engine can warm up properly for once!", Luc exclaimed to himself, as he got faster and faster, feeling the wind dragging along him.
He let out a genuine laugh. He loved pushing his bikes speed up. He could only do it rarely, but when he could, it made him feel so free, a small moment of disconnection from every pain, every misery, every stressful appointment, it all momentary flew away, dragged away with the wind.
After he reached a speed of 80mph, in the short amount of time his bike takes to reach that speed, and stayed on it for a short while, on a road where the speed limit was only 55, he finally slowed down to the proper speed again. "Fuck yeah, this is life!", Luc exclaimed, his voice filled with happiness and life. Then, he saw an intersection, and took that opportunity to do a U-Turn, returning to the city again. He had nothing he needed at wherever this road lead too, and he wasn't even sure the rest of what was left in his tank would allow him to drive far enough anyway.
Now (mostly) following the speed limit, driving back to the City again, he noticed something he didn't spot before. It was a house, far outside of the main part of North Nocavern, but most definitely still inside the land the city owns. And then, he had to correct himself: It wasn't a house, no, it was a mansion. A big mansion on an even bigger property. He slowed down, and stopped before the house entrance.
There was a big gate, which was opened all the way, and next to it, was a big "33" over the mailbox. Luc then looked inside the property, where he could spot a boy, about in his mid-twenties. He had long brown hair in a layered cut, dyed red-orange-yellow on the end, making it look like fire. He wore a red hoodie jacket, over a blue shirt, matched with blue jeans and dark red sturdy looking hiking boots.
"Ben, you are a son of a BITCH!", the boy screamed back into the house, while storming out. Shortly after, the guy that Luc meet in the supermarket recently also walked out of the door. "Evan" Ben said back, just barely loud enough for Luc to hear in the distance, "You know insulting my mother doesn't do anything, I hated her for the short time I knew her, you're doing the exact opposite you wanna achieve." "FUCK YOU!", the boy then screamed back, and then stormed away to the gate, and past Luc, bumping against him, but not caring. Luc watched him walk away, with a confused look. However, he was soon brought back to reality after he suddenly heard "Hey, what are you doing here?" from the direction of the house.
His head turned back onto the property, where he saw Ben looking at him, with a look that kinda invited him to come closer. "Was just randomly in the area, saw this house, and just wanted to look." "I see, Ja, Ja. This house does arise interest in the few that get lost here.", Ben responded, putting the knuckles of his index and middle finger against his mouth, softly tapping against it with them "I realize such a big property with a big manor out here in nowhere land is quite... strange, I do realize that myself."
Luc looked around, making sure that there are actually no houses around, as if he could somehow have overlooked one, before responding: "Yeah, then why build it out here?", "Still quieter than when I would have built it in the city, even with the bigger attention it gets when one sports it then, which is quite rare though, despite everything."
"So, you want your Qui-", "Boo!", A soft voice suddenly appeared right next to his ear. Luc jumped to the side, only barely suppressing a scream, all the while the cause of the voice laughed.
After Luc calmed down, he took a good look at the person. A small person, just 5,4 Ft high. He had black, short hair, which was mostly hidden under a dark purple-black beany-hat. He had light purple eyes, and his build was really slim. With his clothes, it got interesting. Despite most definetly being a boy, he wore a purple choker matched with an over sized, dark purple hoodie, matched with a dark purple skirt, with a black stripe. He also had dark purple-black striped Thigh Highs and wore knee-high boots, these being light purple and white.
"Wow, it's rare that you greet someone, especially like that.", Ben said to the boy, who then took a good look at Luc. "He's gay... He won't judge.", he responded. "How would you kn-", Luc started speaking, but got interrupted, "Gay... and a bottom at that.", which then made Luc blush ever so lightly, "Don't try to deny it. I know when someone is gay... I can fell the gay-aura... The bottom aura, too."
"I hate that he's entirely right...!", Luc involuntarily whispered out, which then made the boy, who seems to have only barely heard it, let out a happy screech. "Aurelius Astolfo von der Niedergrafschaft is the name.... Nice to meet you.", Aurelius said, and then let out his hand for a handshake, which Luc accepted, but he still looked perplexed, and even during the Handshake, he already replied "Excuse, what in the name of the holy dictionary did you just say was your name?"
"Aurelius Astolfo von der Niedergrafschaft. It's German.... You can just call me Aurelius, though. You can remember that, not?" "Yeah, Aurelius." "Okay, good.", Aurelius then said, before already pulling his hand back, and turning around, walking into the house, without giving a single further chance for the conversation to continue in any shape, form, timeline or multiverse.
"Don't mind him, he just doesn't like strangers. Or humans. Or in general, anything that isn't me or his husband. Though, only for a short while, he'll warm up to you sooner or later. That is, of course, implying you come over here more often, which is, however, something I can reasonably doubt, not?" Ben almost immediately explained, Luc nodding in understanding.
"True, true, didn't even know you lived here in the first place, this is just coincidence.", Luc answered, "But I still remember your offer about helping me with anything technological, so the chance I might come are not zero.", "I know that", Ben responded. "Anyway, I got to go, I think I should go home again.", Luc then said, turning around, "Goodbye". "Tschau and Bye." Luc then started walking back to the gate and sat down on his bike again. Making the engine spring to live again, he started driving again, back to the Town, again speeding, but going down to the speed limit again, once he started seeing other cars in the distance.
Another 20 minutes later, he arrived home. He locked his bike, and went to the entrance, opened the door, and immediately bumped into another postman he never saw before. The postman, upon bumping into Luc, looked at him, looked at a big package he is holding, and asked: "Luc Scar-lake?", he said, with a heavy accent Luc couldn't quite recognize. "Scarleight, but yes?", Luc responded, and upon saying that, got the big package pressed into his hand. "Here, from PD" the postman said, "Evidence for you. Good day, Mister." and after that, walked past Luc and out of the building.
"Evidence?! Finally!", Luc talked to himself, and then took a straight B-line to his home. He unlocked his door, put the package down on the floor, locked the floor, and then shoved the package to his living room. "Today or Tomorrow...? Tomorrow, yeah." He turned around, walked to his bedroom, got his clothes, and went to take a shower. After, he went to bed, turned his TV on, and started watching a few Series', before he started and then fell asleep.
