"Detective Palesa Green is her name. She transferred in from Cape Town and is currently leading the task force to combat gangsterism in Gauteng. She is highly decorated and feared." Thomas briefed Thabiso as he gave him the file.

"Do we have anything on her that we can use as leverage?" Thabiso asked. "Nothing so far." Thomas said sighing. This Palesa was as clean as they come. She loved her job and was very good at it. She singlehandedly busted the Colombian gang. She was feared by all corrupt cops because of her no-nonsense actions. "Palesa Green." Thabiso said out loud as he read her file.

"Palesa Green, do you have a twin?." Thabiso thought. Thabiso could not shake the feeling that Palesa looked a lot like Rita. Their eyes, nose and lips looked identical. But maybe he was just sexually frustrated and seeing Rita wherever he looked. They hadn't had the time to blow off some steam but that was not important right now. Or maybe it was, "no focus Thabiso." He scolded himself. He had to find a way to get them out of this.

Sunnyside looked nothing like she remembered it. The buildings looked old and ready to fall apart. The view from the roof was nothing to write home about. Rita just needed some air. The fugitive thing didn't bother her that much, but she was worried about her mother.

If she had seen the news yet. How was she copying with the news that her perfect daughter was now a criminal? So many questions ran through her head. Thabiso said she couldn't call her mother because they might have bugged her phone, but Rita was going crazy.

She dialed her mother's number and waited as it rang. "Mme." Rita said holding back tears. "Rethabile" was all her mother said as she wept. "Mme, I am so sorry." Rita said crying. "Are you safe?" Her mother said between sobs. "Yes, I will...." The phone cut before she could finish speaking.

"Rita!" Thabiso shouted her name from the door leading to the roof top. "Yeah?" Rita said trying her best to not look like she was weeping. "The police found us! We got to go. They are on their way. Thomas was alerted by the look out at the entrance to Sunnyside." Thabiso said grabbing her wrist and leading her down the stairs.

"How did they find us?" Thabiso asked himself out loud. Rita knew it was because of her impulsive phone call. She needed to speak to her mother, but they could all be going to jail because of her actions. They ran down the stairs and joined the group. Lerato had her baby safely tucked in her arms. The little one was so use to chaos that he didn't even wake up from his nap.

Abby carried all the baby bags and had a gun on her hip. Thomas was barking orders and swearing at someone over the burner phone. Rita had caused all of this and she felt like shit. They were swiftly put into a Kombi which went the opposite direction of the sirens.

Rita looked at the building she had called home for two weeks disappear in the distance. "It was me. I called my mother." Rita said handing Thabiso her phone. She exhaled loudly and put her hands on her face. She fought to keep the tears back. She was so emotional lately. Something was definitely wrong with her. She must be having her monthly soon.

He took it and tossed it out the window. "How is your mom?" he said holding her closer. "She was crying." Rita said with her voice cracking. "I will get us out of this, and you will go see your mother soon." Thabiso said embracing her.

Rita was sure he would be upset but he looked so sympathetic and understanding. "You are worried about your mother too." Rita stated. Thabiso nodded and looked out the window. He made sure his mother was safe but he missed her so much. They had sorted out their issues and he enjoyed having his mother around.

Rita could not think of a way out of this, but they had to come up with a plan soon.
Thabiso had numerous safe houses, but they were not as safe as in Sunnyside. They were protected from the police and Uncle Vinny there or so he thought. This Palesa lady was something else. She conducted a raid in Sunnyside hard gang land. No one came in there not even the Hawks. It was an official no go zone but Palesa came. If he wanted to be a free man, he had to find a way to get rid of her and quick.

Caught between a rock and a hard place was an understatement of the year. Thomas follows the Waze app to avoid any police check points and they ended up in Hatfield.  They were in the new safe house and Rita could tell that Thabiso was at his wits end. She overheard him speaking to Thomas about some cop named Palesa. She was the one spearing on the manhunt for them. Rita snuck into the study and looked at the spitting image of herself, there she was. A picture of her half-sister.

Palesa was her father's daughter from an affair. When Palesa's mother passed away, her drunk of a grandmother dumped her with her father. Rita's father came home with a sixteen-year-old girl who looked like her. You would swear they were the same person. They both looked like their father. But Rita's mother was not having it. For the first time she said no!  Her mother put her foot down to her tyrant of a husband. She was not going to raise another woman's child. It was the first time Rita saw her mother stand her ground. She was firm and Palesa was gone the next day.

Last Rita heard she was adopted by some family in South Africa and she had never seen her since. How did Palesa end up chasing after her? Rita recalled hearing of a Detective Green who was after her brothers. They never knew it was her.

"My love are you okay?" Thabiso asked as he walked into the study. Rita was holding a picture of Palesa Green the detective after them. "Rita?" Thabiso asked holding her closer. "My sister." Rita blurted out. "What do you mean?" Thabiso asked confused. "She is my half-sister, Thabiso."

As Thabiso stood there stunned his phone vibrated and a message came through. "Palesa is working with Uncle Vinny." From Thomas.
