''yes. father has sadly passed. i know it must be difficult to swallow, even after all the battles you had with him'' Sage sighed.
''i... never expected it. a giant turtle just straight up killed him'' Sonic spoke. ''i didn't want him to die like that''
''but didn't you hate him?'' Sage asked.
''well, not like that, at least'' Sonic stated. ''i don't know what to do, Sage. i guess we'll talk more later?'' he seemed... remorseful for her depression.
''i understand, Sonic. i hope to cross paths again...'' Sage nodded, a little on the sad side, but otherwise understood. this was a new thing for the both of them.
Bowser's victory over Eggman was strange, one that held a lot of water over the whole of Mobius.
most people celebrated, not having to put with him again. but Sonic's friends? it was just... different for them. the sudden news was a strange thing.
