Joining the ALDC

Chapter 3

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock playing the song, 'It's Always A Good Time' by Owl City. It's been my favorite song since the summer I played it. It always remind me of happy times. Just like that summer was happy. After my alarm went off I dragged myself out of bed. I hopped in the shower, after I put on some dance wear. Then I went downstairs. My mom made french toast for breakfast. It was really good. After I went back upstairs. Brushed my teeth, put my hair into a high bun, and packed my dance bag. Then I headed out to the car. In the car, I pulled out my phone. I played on it for a little and then we were there. I was kind of nervous, but I wasn't at the same time. I am sure the girls already found out I am joining from the thing I posted. We pulled into the parking lot, and me and my mom got out and went inside. Now I was excited. I couldn't wait for the girls to see me walk through that door. One of the producers was at the door. "Are you Jenna the new girl?" He asked. "Yes." I replied. "Hello Jenna, I am Dave one of the producers. When Abby said your name you can walk in okay?" I nodded and he lead me to the door where I would walk in. I was tapping my foot and bitting my nail. I heard Abby talking. "Alright girls, I have a surprise for you. Please welcome our new member Jenna!" I started to walk in. All of the girls screamed and ran to me. I was no longer nervous or anything. Then Abby started yelling, "Girls! Stop this! We need to get to work! You'll have time for that later!" I walked over to the line but didn't know where to stand. Chloe whispered to me. "Come stand by me Jenna." I nodded and stood between her and Paige. Abby looked at the pyramid. "Alright, time for pyramid." There was an extra picture. That means I am up there somewhere. I smiled. I looked at the top spot. I really hope I am there. I said to myself. Abby started pyramid. "On the bottom, Mackenzie. I want you to show me more. Next, Paige. You blended in the group. I want you to stand out. Moving up, Brooke. Stop being so annoying in the dressing room please. Next we have, Nia. You were beautiful in the group nice work. Next is Kendall. The legs were straight and the feet were pointed. Great work! Next is, Maddie." I froze. What?! Maddie Zeigler on the 3rd spot on the pyramid?! Is this real life? Abby then revealed the 2nd to top spot. It was Chloe. WHAT?! CHLOE?! THAT MEANS I AM AT THE TOP OF THAT PYRAMID! I relaxed and smiled. Chloe hugged me. Maddie tapped me and gave me a thumbs up. Then Abby tore off the top picture. There I was with my curly hair. At the top of the pyramid. All the girls hugged me and I looked at my mom. She smiled and gave me two thumbs up. Then I looked at Abby. "Jenna, you are at the top. You will have a solo. You will also be in the group." Then Abby clapped her hands. "Let's get to work!" The group dance was called, 'Stay Strong' It was a beautiful lyrical piece with lots of technical moves. My solo was called, 'Forever I Live' It was contemporary. When it was solo rehearsal time, I was excited. I danced through that solo like there was no tomorrow. It was beautiful. When I was done Abby stood up and clapped. The girls stood with open mouths. Except Maddie. Abby then turned to me. "Wow Jenna, that was beautiful. Now we will have to find out if your better than my golden dancer."
