Epilogue

Eddie and Venom had just returned from Mrs. Chen's shop, fully packed, and they were chatting animatedly while he was walking up the stairs in the hallway.

»What's with the 'we have no secrets' thing? Didn't you want to show me something at some point?«

»Hmm, that's right... But if so, then only a fraction of what we symbiotes have experienced. Anything else from the hive mind would be too much for your little brain.«

»Okaaay?« Eddie raised an eyebrow in confusion and didn't understand anything at all. He was even starting to change his mind.

They arrived at their apartment door and found a large package. Eddie looked at it in surprise.

»Did I order something?«

»Actually, no.«

He was curious and wanted to take a closer look, but he still had the bags with the shopping in his hands.

He pulled out his key and unlocked it. He then put the bags on the kitchen counter and ran back to the door.

He picked up the mysterious package and almost lost his balance.

It must weigh at least 10 kilos!

Eddie took it inside, while Venom closed the door behind them with a tentacle. Eddie put it on the kitchen table. And while he was putting the groceries away, Venom manifested his snake-like form and examined the package.

»It's from Alex!«, he shouted excitedly. Eddie turned around in surprise.

»Really?«

»Yes, really.« Venom grinned at him.

»Well then, let's open it.«

Eddie was about to get a pair of scissors from a drawer when he noticed Venom pulling him towards the package and his hands transforming into Venom's who simply slitting the tape open with his claws. Dozens of packages of chocolate and other sweets appeared.

Venom's eyes couldn't have shone any more at that moment. You could even go so far as to say that his mouth was watering.

Eddie took the small piece of paper that was on top and laughed as he looked at his roommate, who only had eyes for the delicious contents. He turned it over and read just one word: Thank you.

»Do you want to eat one right away?« Eddie asked him amusedly.

»YES!«

Eddie took the large 300g bar that was right on top and ripped it open.

At that moment the room began to shake and tremble. Eddie dropped the chocolate and reflexively held on to his kitchen table.

»Is that an earthquake?«, he shouted, more to himself.

His eyes widened when he saw how the entire interior changed within milliseconds and they finally found themselves in a completely different apartment.

He looked around in shock and no longer understood anything.

»What just HAPPENED?«

His gaze wandered to the TV, which was showing a news broadcast. It showed a grumpy man showing a photo of a "Spiderman".

He was so distracted that he almost didn't feel himself losing control and disappearing into Venom's body.

He wandered to the screen and...

»This guy«

...licked him.
