An abandoned mansion on the outskirts of a small town, rumored to be haunted. Y/N A brave and adventurous person with a keen interest in the paranormal Sam Golbach Y/N's best friend, known for his charm and humor, though he often pretends to be skeptical about ghosts. Colby Brock sam's childhood best friend also a ghost hunter with a knack for uncovering the supernatural, always ready with his camera. Jamie Colby's girlfriend who sometimes go on investigations, calm and collected, with a deep knowledge of the paranormal.

The night air was thick with anticipation as Y/N parked their car next to Sam's. The old mansion loomed ahead, its windows dark and shadowy, like the eyes of a long-forgotten ghost. Y/N could feel a shiver run down their spine not from fear, but from excitement. This was their first haunted investigation, and they couldn't have asked for better company. "Ready for this?" Sam grinned, his flashlight illuminating a path through the overgrown grass. He tried to mask his nerves with humor, but Y/N could see the slight tremor in his hands. "Of course! I've read all about this place. People say the spirits here can be quite mischievous," Y/N replied, matching Sam's enthusiasm. As they approached the creaking front door, Colby and Jamie were already setting up their equipment on the porch, their voices low but excited. Colby's camera was ready, and Jamie was checking the EMF detector, a smile of confidence on their face. "Glad you two could make it!" Colby called out, waving them over. "We're about to start the investigation. You ready to meet some ghosts?" "Only if they don't try to possess us!" Sam quipped, earning a chuckle from Y/N. With everyone gathered, Jamie laid out the plan. "We'll split into two groups. Sam and Y/N will explore the upstairs while Colby and I check the basement. We'll meet back here in an hour. Keep your walkie-talkies on. If you see or hear anything strange, let us know." The group nodded, and Y/N felt their heart race with excitement. It was now or never. As they climbed the staircase, the floors creaked beneath their feet, each step echoing like a heartbeat in the silence. The air felt heavy, almost electric, as they entered the first bedroom. Dust danced in the beam of their flashlight, and the shadows seemed to flicker at the edges of their vision. "Do you think we'll actually find something?" Sam asked, trying to mask his apprehension with a smile. "Absolutely! Ghosts are all about energy. If we're open to it, we might just make contact," Y/N replied, their voice steady and confident. Suddenly, the temperature dropped, and a soft whisper echoed through the room. Y/N and Sam exchanged wide-eyed glances, the thrill of the unknown coursing through them. "Did you hear that?" Sam whispered, his bravado faltering. "Yes! It came from the closet!" Y/N whispered back, their curiosity piqued. They approached the closet, heart racing, and slowly opened the door. Inside, they found nothing but old clothes hanging lifelessly. But as Y/N turned to leave, they felt a cold breeze rush past them, and the door slammed shut behind Sam. "Y/N! Open the door!" Sam shouted, panic lacing his voice. "Hold on!" Y/N frantically pulled at the doorknob, but it wouldn't budge. Their heart thrummed in their chest, a mix of fear and exhilaration. "Sam, I think we're not alone!" The shadows in the corner of the room seemed to twist and turn, and suddenly, a figure emerged a translucent apparition, gazing at them with sorrowful eyes. "Help..." it whispered, its voice barely audible. Before Y/N could react, they felt a surge of courage. "We're here to help you! What do you need?" they called out. Sam, still panicking, finally managed to pry the door open and rushed in. "Y/N, don't talk to it!" he exclaimed, but Y/N stood their ground. "I think it's trying to communicate!" Y/N argued, reaching out tentatively toward the spirit. The figure seemed to brighten at their words, and in that moment, Y/N realized that this ghost was not malevolent it was lost, seeking closure. Just then, the walkie-talkie crackled to life. "Sam! Y/N! We've found something down here!" Colby's voice echoed through the static. "Colby, we're having a moment!" Sam yelled, exasperated but it wasn't a moment that Sam had hoped for he liked you for a long time but didn't know how to tell you.
