The thought of living
without you
never crossed my mind.
That's why it hurts
so much, I guess.
Why didn't you
ever let me know
that one day
you'd leave me
without warning?
But anyway,
I can't blame you.
It was my fault—
I shouldn't have
clung to you
I shouldn't have
loved you more than myself.
Why did you leave me
without a word, without a trace?
Did you ever think of the silence
you'd leave in your absence?
Why did you not tell me,
or give me a sign,
that the love I thought was endless
was fading, slipping, gone?
Was I not enough to stay for?
Did you grow tired of me
before I could even feel it—
before I could see it coming?
How could you leave,
with no explanation, no reason,
like a dream that fades at dawn—
without a goodbye, without a clue?
Did you ever love me
the way I loved you?
Or was I just another chapter,
another passing moment
you never planned to finish?
Now I'm left to wonder—
Why did you leave me?
And why was I the last to know?
