-------Remus POV Morning After-------
Remus walks swiftly in the early light of the morning, body aching in pain from the previous night's transformation. The pain in his body is nothing compared to the pain in his heart and the rage that courses through him. Rushing up the stairs he barges through the large oak door. It hits the wall as Dumbledore looks up sharply from his desk.
"You told me not to pursue it, you told me he was guilty!" Remus' voice is calm but shakes with a barely concealed rage.
"I did not know," Dumbledore shakes his head," no more than you did, Remus."
"I... DID... KNOW!! I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU HE WAS INNOCENT AND YOU TOLD ME TO LET IT GO! YOU...I... TWELVE YEARS HE ROTTED IN THAT CELL!! TWELVE YEARS AND YOU DID NOTHING!!"
Dumbledore just sits there staring at him.
Remus draws himself up to his true height, stops shaking, and takes a deep breath. "I quit." Turning over his shoulder he walks out.
