RYAN'S POV
I stirred under the sheets and hissed slightly, feeling some weight on my left arm. I turned my head slowly and saw the bitch I had spent the night with sleeping while using my arm as a pillow. I shook her shoulder and she stirred a bit.
" Get up."
" Please let me sleep a little more." She mumbled, adjusting herself and putting more weight on my arm. I hissed and yanked my arm free, making her open her eyes in horror.
" Babe..."
" Get out." I said, examining my numb arm. She sat up, staring at me.
" Just like that? You sure you don't want another... '
" Get out." I repeated, tossing a bundle of money at her. Her eyes lit up, and she hugged the money to her chest.
" But babe..."
" I said you should get the hell out!" I screamed at her.
" Okay, okay. There's no need for you to yell." She said and got out of the bed. She picked up her clothes and entered the bathroom. I picked up the telephone and dailed room service, instructing them to bring me something for my hangover. I turned around after the call to still find the bitch in my room, smiling stupidly at me. I shot a questioning gaze.
" Just wanted to say bye, and tell you that you were incredible last night, and you should call me anytime you need my service. I promise I'll take care of you. I'll..."
I cut her short by grabbing her arm and yanking her outside the room. She was still blabbing when I closed the door in her face.
Bitch.
I had already freshened up when the room service came with my hungover drink. I gulped it, picked up my things and headed out of the hotel. I tossed my things in the backseat, started the engine and headed for my destination. Home.
Home?
I think where I live would be a better description. That place stopped being my home six years ago, the day my little sister, Bella, and my girlfriend, Zoe, died. That day was Dad's birthday, and Bella asked me to go along with her so we could get a gift for him. I couldn't go with her because I had a lot of school work to do, and then Zoe offered to go along with her. I agreed, walked them to Zoe's car, and waved them goodbye, only to receive a call ten minutes later that they had an accident and were both in the hospital.
Like a madman, I drove to the hospital. Bella died immediately while Zoe was brought in unconscious and had to undergo surgery. It went well, and immediately she regained consciousness, she requested to see me. With tears in her eyes, she held my hands with her shaky ones and whispered;
" I'm sorry."
I cried, begging her not to say that, that it wasn't her fault, that it was an accident. But she kept apologizing, saying that it was her fault that Bella died. Suddenly, the monitors in the room began making weird noises. I remember seeing doctors and nurses rushing in,trying to get her to calm down, trying to get her to breathe. But it didn't work. She died minutes later. And that's how I lost the two girls who meant the world to me.
Tears fell from my eyes as I managed to bring myself back to the present and focus on the road. Dad's voice accusing Zoe of killing Bella resounded in my ears. She was his sweetheart, she was everyone's sweetheart. She was the one making our family proud, not me. She was Dad's pride, and he was terribly broken after her death. And everyday, he constantly reminds me of my sister's death, going on about how she'd still be here if I had gone with her. And, maybe he's right. Just maybe.
