CHAPTER SIX

RYAN'S POV

James smiled and walked closer to me, extending his hand for me to shake it.

" Yeah, it has really been a while, CEO Wells." I replied dryly, putting my hands behind me. He seemed to get the message, and he withdrew his hand and put both of them in his pockets.

" Still as rude as always." He chuckled. " Well, I must admit that I'm quite happy to see you. All through my stay abroad, I've looked for ways to get across to you. And now, I've finally found you. "

" That's quite unfortunate, because you're the last person I want to ever see. "

" Ryan, stop this, okay? Let bygones be bygones. Let's move on and be how we used to be before Stephanie and Zoe came into our lives."

" Sadly , that can't happen. " I said and turned to leave, but his words stopped me.

" Yeah, right. I just remembered that you're a jerk, and will always remain one. It's useless trying to reason with you. And just so you know, I haven't forgiven you for what you did to my sister, but I'll just let you go, for old times sake. She's with Ethan Brown now, and she's very happy. So please, stay away from her. If you hurt her again, I'll kill you, and it's a promise."

I turned to face him as my face became darker." Fuck you and your bitch of a sister, James Wells. You can't do anything to me, and you know it. I still haven't forgiven you for what you did to Stephanie, and unlike you, I won't let you go so easily. So, make sure you and your sister stay very far away from me. "

His face darkened and I smirked. Exactly the reaction I wanted. " You fool..."

" Brother!" His pathetic bitch of a sister ran towards him.

" Laura, what do you want?"

" Brother, Ethan said..." She started but her voice trailed off as soon as her eyes landed on me.

My face darkened even more, and my blood began to boil. Why did I have to see these two again? Did I offend the Creator or something?

" Ryan?" She said, examining me. Suddenly, a small smile formed on her lips as she advanced towards me.

" Oh my gosh, Ryan, it's really you!" She said and leaped towards me in an attempt to hug me, and I instinctively took two steps back. James blocked her with his arm.

" James, move... "

" What did Ethan say?" James asked her. She looked at him, then at me, and back at him with a confused face. " Answer me."

" He... He said I should bring you along so he'll introduce us to his Mum and sister." She replied, still staring at both of us.

" Go on, I'll be there shortly." He instructed. She frowned at him. " Go."

" Fine." She pouted and turned away from him. She waved at me before walking away.

" Ryan Adams, eyes off my sister. And, this conversation isn't over. I'll finish it off with you some other time." He said and walked away.

I scoffed at him and made my way out of the hall.

Fools.

ELLIE'S POV

The crowd gave me a standing ovation as I walked to my seat, next to Chloe. She grinned at me.

" That was awesome."

" Thanks." I said, looking around me again. " Chloe, have you seen him?"

" I don't think he's present, so just relax."
