ELLIE'S POV

Chloe parked the car directly in front of the luxury restaurant and turned to face me. I sat stiffly on the passenger seat, wishing for nothing else at the moment than to disappear.

" Ellie, we're here."

I groaned in response, making no attempt to get down. She pinched me lightly.

" Come on, you should know better than to disobey President Brown. Just go in and fulfill all righteousness."

Fulfill all righteousness, right.

That's exactly what I'm going to do.

" Fine." I said, picking up my purse.

" If you get uncomfortable around him or if he tries any shit, don't hesitate to do what I told you, okay?"

" Okay." I smiled at her, remembering her telling me to run away using a phone call as disguise. She also mentioned that if he tried to act funny, I should scream at the top of my lungs but I pointed out that most restaurants are soundproof . She agreed on that, and got me a pepper spray just in case. I preferred it, because I know the ' screaming at the top of my lungs ' part won't work for me.

She smiled and I got out of the car. I waved at her and she drove off. With a scowl I was sure was very visible on my face, I entered the restaurant and handed my card over the the blonde lady behind the desk. She checked the system in front of her and instructed a lady to lead me to the room.

We got to the entrance of the room and the lady greeted me and left. The door was slightly open, and I could see two people talking inside . I couldn't see their faces clearly, but I was sure that a man and a woman were in there, and I began to wonder if the staff had brought me to the wrong room. But the number I had seen on the card and the number on the door were the same, so how...

In order not to confuse myself further, I decided to ask. Tapping slightly on the door, I curiously asked. " Errr ... Am I in the wrong room?"

Both of them faced me and surprise washed over me when I saw the lady's face. She's Ethan's girlfriend.

What's her name again...

I tried recalling her name as I turned to look at the guy. But my brain immediately stopped working and my jaw dropped. He's...

He's the guy who crashed into my car the other day.

" Miss Wells, my date is here. So please, leave." The guy said and I sighed in relief because I wasn't in the wrong room after all. Almost immediately, another realization hit me.

He's my date.

For some reason I couldn't understand, it felt... weird. The handsome guy that had once crashed into my car somehow ends up being my blind date. Just how the...

I stopped myself from thinking too much. I might not know much about this shit, but according to stories I've heard, blind dates are always weird.

The guy stood up and said something to Ethan's girlfriend, but she just sat there, staring at him. I cleared my throat to get their attention, plastering a hard glare on my face. How dare they keep me waiting?

Ethan's girlfriend stood up and whispered something to him, trying to tug his suit in the process but he backed away. She turned and walked to the door.

To me, actually.

" Hi Ellie! I didn't expect you to be my friend's date."

I wasn't expecting to either.
