I open my eyes to find myself wrapped in a fuzzy blanket in an unfamiliar hotel room. I notice Emma brushing her hair in front of the mirror.
"Uh, why am I here..?" I ask.
"Oh! Sorry, I just found you asleep in the dining area."
"Oh. Uh, thanks I guess..?"
Im not surprised I fell asleep there, I haven't been able to sleep lately. I don't know why though.
"So, how did you end up falling asleep there?" Emma asks.
"I wasn't managing to sleep much lately. But why do you even care?" I question
"Well Mk, I don't like you but I guess I was just feeling nice."
"Thanks..?"
"Soo, is something on your mind? Maybe that's why you weren't managing to sleep." Emma suggests.
"What could it be though."
"Is it Julia?" Emma teases.
"No! Why would I be thinking about her?!" I exclaim.
"Wow! Defensive much! It was just a suggestion. But is it? Whilst you were still there everyone was rooting for you guys to become a couple."
"No way! I cant believe you'd think that!" I deny
I think the reason I can't sleep is Julia though. Emma is right. But no way does Emma have to know that.
"Whatever, keep denying it I guess." Says Emma
"Im not!" I groan
"Whatever, im going to get ready so like bye loser. See you in the finale."
"Bye."
Emma isn't actually that bad. We are just very different people.
When I enter the hotel room, I notice what a mess it is. T-shirts, accessories, electronics, and whatnot scattered all over the floor. I open Instagram from my phone and see Julia's post. When this whole thing ends, im going to say something. We both know we want the same thing, we just don't know how to express it.
