It's Time

I sigh as my ride pulls into the parking lot of the airport. In only a matter of hours I'll be on my way back to where I spent most of my childhood and made the majority of my life long friends, where my family legacy is at, where it all started. Is it crazy to admit I'm nervous to return? I mean a lot can change in four years, heck it's the WWE a lot can change in a week, gosh I wonder if any of my friends are still there, I wonder if the fans still remember me, I wonder if I still remember? It's gonna be a strange feeling walking back into that arena after so long, I'm pretty nervous which is a terrible feeling. Nerves lead to injuries in this field of work, I can testify to this due to them being the cause of my leave. I've become a victim to nerves in more ways than one. I let out one last sigh as I see the stadium fast approaching, this is it, this is where it begins once again, I hope to not disappoint and to not be disappointed in turn. I ensure that my face is covered as I get out of the vehicle and roll my luggage into one of the many side entrances, this due to the fact that my return is to be a surprise, to everyone including the current roster, if I am seen it'll ruin everything. I'm so nervous about my return I have to remain cautious, I can't disappoint those that have led me to where I am today. I sigh as I finally reach my private changing room, not much in it, just some furniture with a monitor with a connecting bathroom. I place my luggage by the door and plop onto the couch with a sigh, while looking around I begin to remember that feeling of anxiety, excitement, and determination that I felt when I first signed with the WWE. A lot has changed since then, superstars and Divas have come and gone, titles have come and gone, Divas are finally beginning to get the recognition they deserve, past and present. Regulations have changed, Stipulations have changed. I have to acquaint myself with the new talent and adjust to all the changes that have been made. I have to prove to myself that I deserve to be here. I glance at the clock hanging on the wall and realize how quickly time flies. I begin to prepare myself for the ring. Once I'm done with all that I begin my warm up which consists of a quick cardio workout, once I hear the knock on my door I know it's showtime. I begin my way down to the ring following behind one of the crew techs covered by a hooded robe giving nothing away, as we approach the entrance to the ramp everything becomes clearer, the crowd is reactive, the script is being played out exactly like it's supposed to. However, I've never been one to follow the guidelines given to me, I've always decided my own path in this company and nothing is going to change that, not then, not now, not ever. With a final deep breath I make my way back towards it all, where it all started so many years ago, all the ups and the downs, all the rights and wrongs, all the cheers and boos. It's time. THE ANGEL HAS RETURNED.
