Shivika's POV :

I sat in my cabin, lost in thought, questioning why I had helped Vihaan change his tire. It wasn't necessary, yet I'd done it anyway. Why do I always comply with him? Why can't I push back? My mind swirled with these thoughts until a knock on the door pulled me back to reality.

"Come in," I said, my tone cold and authoritative.

My manager stepped in, her expression composed. "Ma'am, the man is about to die," she informed me in her usual professional manner.

For a moment, I was caught off guard-I had almost forgotten about him. "Call a doctor," I replied, my voice sharp. "I don't want him dying so soon. I'd prefer to kill him myself-it's been a while since I last used my gun."

She nodded, offering an assured look, and left.

As she exited, my phone buzzed. It was Shivaay.

"In the last ten days, you've almost killed 25 people. God knows why," he said, his tone cold.

I frowned, surprised. "How do you know about that?"

"That's not important," he replied curtly. "Just stop this killing spree of yours."

I scoffed at his hypocrisy. "Oh, so you want me to stop so you can handle the killing once you're back? Is that it? You're just upset I'm clearing your backlog. Can't you, for once, appreciate the effort?"

"You're impossible, Shivi," he retorted, clearly frustrated. "Mark my words-once I'm back, you won't even get a chance to scratch anyone."

"Let's see about that, dear brother," I challenged him, a smirk tugging at my lips.

We exchanged a few words about work, and then I remembered something. "Oh, by the way, I've found an intern for you. She's capable enough to handle your tasks and assist you. She's young and inexperienced but sharp. I think she'll manage just fine."

He didn't sound too enthusiastic. "Just explain the tasks to her. I'll meet her when I'm back," he said flatly before hanging up.

With a sigh, I set my phone down and turned back to my work.
