The competition got over and Ranks came out , Most of the beautiful ladies were just beauty without brains , but my attention was caught by Alice Maverick , the prince's sister , who shot the arrow very close to the Bullseye. The host announced , Anastasia smith , Helen Walker , Charlotte Johny , Nizal Ellen , Merinet Samantha were the top 6 but I , Vivienne Levington got the first place which was obvious because Mr Clock helped me .
Later , i got escorted by the maid and Mr Charmer who is also Mr Clock also disappeared . I got to my room and started unpacking my luggage , the more dresses i took out , the more I was thinking about Leo . The way he held my chin , looked into my eyes and someday I'll marry hi- there I felt myself blushing at just the thought of marrying him , sharing a room with him and being the queen of The Enchanted Defora . When I was interrupted by a knock at the door . I kept my dresses nicely in the almirah and another maid came and informed me about the ball that was going to be held , there we will first dance , and the prince will choose who he will be interacting with . After the maid left i locked the door behind me and started taking out to choose which dress to wear to the ball .
After a few moments , I again heard a knock this time a more gentler one , i pulled the door open and saw Mr Clock with a line of dresses in his hands . I gasped a little and looked at him . " Don't be shocked , cariño these all are for you , even if you want a dress for the ball , I'll let you keep the rest . " " Thank you but why are doing this " i asked confused when he nonchalantly replied " Can we first get inside ? " " Oh yeah , sorry " I said . He walked inside and my lungs were filled with a woody cologne which i remember was the same smell in the carriage and in the Archery grounds but this time more strong . He looked at me " Never say that to anyone ." He said with a straight face , i looked at him " with what ? " "With that sorry never say that to anyone . " I didn't push it further , I just locked the door behind me and walked into the room " You didn't need to bring " " You gave me a ride to Defora and I have to thank you back " he said , " i thought you did thank me by teaching me archery will not teaching because I basically cheated in the competition " I said , I have never cheated in by life for any purpose and it made me feel bad . " Now we have the ball so you should focus on that and not on the past . " With that he started showing me the various dresses but one in special caught my eye , a dark green ball gown with the biggest fluffs anyone could have ever seen and embroidery was also well done . " I would love to wear that . " " Cariño, choose whatever you want , it is all yours . " And then he mumbled something and I could only make out 'even me' .
Before we were off to the ball , Mr Clock handed me a catdragon , a little cute creature who puffed fire . He gave it to me and i immediately felt comfortable with the animal . Then before I could thank him , he disappeared and i went to change in the bathroom .
I stepped out of the bathroom looking in the mirror with my hands raking the embroidery . I started thinking if Leo will notice me and will want to talk to me then what i'd say , just then right behind Mr Clock appeared though he was close enough for his chest to touch my back but I didn't feel anything like it was all an imagination , I tried to blink , shutting my eyes tightly and opening them when he whispered , " Don't hurt yourself , I'm your imagination and no one else can see me , this happens when a catdragon is gifted to somebody they can talk to each other like this and you can do this as well " i looked at him when he said that , shocked .
