He said with desperation , " please " I couldn't let him be like this , so i stayed the night , i slept in the bed with him and we talked about the castle to divert his mind from Alice's murder .
Next Morning , I left his room early to meet Winston to ask that why didn't he hide the body and how did the body reach the ball room . I reached my room and just as I closed the door , I caught his woody scent and I knew he was there . I turned around and approached him . " Why would you do that ? " I asked but my question went unheard as I saw him scanning my gown . He has the same look on his face that he has the other night , he was smirking . I was wearing a pink flowery gown with flowers embroided on it . My hair was done in a bun . I was wearing silver jewellery and small necklace with pink and silver earrings . I jammed my finger in his chest and asked again " Why didn't you hide the body ? " He looked straight in my eyes , this time . " It's for your benefit . " He said and ate a cherry . " How is it my benefit , What if they found out who did it ? " I asked . " Leo will postpone the marriage and the activities and as the prince requested last night for you to stay in his room with him , He will let you come around him and you can make him fall in love with you . " He explained but I didn't know one thing , " Why are you doing this ? " What do friends do , they help each other " he said , " So what do you want from me . " " You helped me reach Defora and you have helped me so much before , that's why . " He said , I wanted to ask more but I didn't want to miss a chance in impressing Leo .
I went outside my room and looked behind and just like before he was gone . I walked through the corridors , just then I heard some muffled voices coming from Leo's room . I eavesdropped and heard Leo saying she is what we all need , a queen . " Another voice came which I assumed was one of his ministers , " Vivienne will be our next queen ? " " Yes " this was all this conversation was about me becoming the queen of Defora but this was all fake , I knew it . This was a private meeting and they kept the door which much open for anyone to hear specifically me .
I looked in the room and caught Leo's eye , he was waiting for me . " Vivienne , my lady please come here why are you standing there ? " He said and invited me in .
I straightened myself and went inside . He put his hand on my waist a cold yet indifferent hand , for some weird reason I didn't want his hand on me . " Yes , your highness . " " Please don't address me as your highness for you I'm Leo . " He said and dismissed his minister . He walked me to his bed and said " I'm thinking to postpone the wedding . " I asked my reaction of a shock one . " For Alice ? " I asked like i didn't know anything , " Yes " .
He has postponed the marriage just as Winston had said . I started to talk about Defora . " I will take you to the Fancy Grenda , it is the market or magic , it's all about true love and fantasies come true . " He said and added " But first we will hold the funeral of my sister , she was very close to me . In all my mischiefs , she supported me without any doubt . " He then started talking about how heroic he was but I couldn't care less that now I had time for making Leo falling in love with me .
I left the room after Leo was called for the newspaper marketing about Alice's death . I left the castle for the archery it was something which I liked since I started with practise for the activity . I took the bow in my hand and shot the arrow and it went straight to the Bullseye . I heard a chuckle and I knew it wasn't winston or Leo . I turned around and he was the same minister that was in the room with Leo while I eavesdropped . " Gotten better , I see . " He exclaimed , he was handsome but he wasn't someone who made my heart race or by how I would be intimidated. " Who are you ? " I asked , I wanted to know his name . " I'm Jacob , one of the ministers of your highness . " He introduced himself . " You are very very cunning . " He exclaimed and I didn't know why . " But you don't know something's which you should know . "
He said , what was this man about to say ? " You actually don't know what I'm talking about , do you ? "
