CHAPTER 1:

“Hey, Drew!” Matt Reeds shouted from across the hall.

I jerked my head up in acknowledgement. The guy was in one of my classes. . . but I couldn’t recall which one. Shoving it aside, I pried my locker open.

Immediately, my best friend, Luke Russo, yelled right into my ear, “Hey, Shawn is throwing this wicked party tonight, and we’re totally going, right, man?!”

I clamped my hands over my ear and slammed my locker shut. Laughing, I shoved Luke away.

“Dude, you’re gonna break my ears! I need them, y’know?” I smarted, still chortling.

Luke waggled his eyebrows. “Is it so you can hear Monique whisper ‘I love you’ into your ear?”

I knocked his shoulder again. “Naw, man, we broke it off yesterday. She was just too, I don’t know . . . clingy.” I wrinkled my nose.

Luke rolled his eyes. “What’s with you? You always do that. Get laid then dump them when you get bored. Drew, admit it, you’re afraid of commitment.”

This time I rolled my eyes. Luke had decided to become my conscience after he met, Gabriela Stone at a party. It was love at first sight, he says.

“No, I just haven’t found the one yet. All these girls are so . . . shallow.”

Luke chuckled and said, “Well then go to the library. I betcha all those girls have depth. A lot of depth.”

I chuckled with him. “Dude, you make everything sound so wrong.”

He raised his hands in protest. “Hey! I’m a guy, just like you.”

I laughed, but took his thought into consideration. It seemed smart; Matt did it and he’s been in a steady relationship with this chick named Carmen. She’s this hotLatina girl, and damn can she dance!

            “Okay, I’ll go,” I replied.

            Luke gaped. “Seriously?”

“Yeah,” I remarked, feeling a buzz in my veins. I loved looking for a new girl.

“Well, take her to the party! I gotta go, Gabbi’s waiting.”

I strolled the opposite way and pushed the library doors open smoothly. Before I could even go past the first shelve, a mocking voice said:

“This is the library, you dumbass. The gym is on the other side of the school.”

I followed the female’s voice until I matched it with a girl, reading a vampire book. My eyes went wide; she was hot. If you looked behind the glasses, you could see she was obviously smoking! Her blonde hair was tied up in a messy ball thing and it made her look fine, I tell you! My eyes traveled downward and my eyebrows shot up with surprise. The girl had nice knockers too!

Suddenly, she slammed the book down and stomped towards me, all her stuff in her hands.

“Well, hello,” I said, turning my charm on.

She wagged her finger at me, her bright green eyes flaring. “Don’t you dare, ‘Hello’ me! And don’t ever, ever, stare at my boobs again! You might as well give up, ‘cause you ain’t gonna get any of this!”

I smirked. Smart, sexy, and spicy. I’m liking already.

She poked my chest hard, making me flinch. It actually hurt! She harrumphed and marched away, her skirt swishing around angrily matching her tone exactly. I chuckled as the AC blew it up. She had a nice tight butt, too.

            “Stop staring!” she snapped cattily.

I chuckled again, and headed home. I was gonna get that girl to go out with me. She was one sexy nerd.
