CHAPTER 6:
“I don’t get it!” I whined childishly.
Amy slapped the back of my head and thrust the textbook in my face. “READ. You’re not reading, Drew! All you do is stare at my boobs!”
I chuckled and let my gaze slip back to her chest. Dang, was her rack nice. Suddenly, a blow to the back of my head made me wince.
“Stop it!”
I chuckled again, but looked into her green eyes. “You know it turns you on.”
Amy smirked and scoffed. “Yeah right! It makes me think you’re a pedophile.”
My jaw dropped. “How?! I’m in the same grade as you!”
Amy reconsidered. “Well then, let me rephrase, it makes me think you’re a rapist or a stalker.”
I pretended to be horrified. Amy giggled and made the loser sign at me.
“Now, back to the books!”
I groaned and lent back in my chair. “Why? Our date’s in an hour. Goodness, why can’t you be one of those girls that spend hours getting pretty? Then we wouldn’t have to waste our time studying!”
Amy glared at me. “Sorry I’m not a bimbo.”
She proceeded to stomp out of that section of the library. I sighed and followed her. I didn’t know why I was chasing her, but she was worth it. Usually, I didn’t do that, but (and despite how cheesy this is) she was special. And Amy was adorable when she was upset.
Amy was standing in front of a bookshelf, arms crossed, head high, eyes blazing.
I sighed again and went up to her. She grumped and turned her body away. I wrapped my arms around her waist. Amy stiffened, but not before I felt her relaxing at my touch.
Whispering into her ear, I said, “I’m sorry. You know that’s not what I meant. I just didn’t want to study; I’m not as brilliant as you.”
I watched her face heat up at the compliment, and I pressed my lips onto her neck. She sighed, whether or not she wanted to.
Amy turned around to face me and wrapped her arms around my neck.
“You think I’m brilliant?” she asked.
I replied honestly, “Amazingly so.”
I could tell she was trying to fight a blush, but it showed on her cheeks anyways.
“Well,” she pondered, “If you tried to put more effort into studying instead of partying, you could be like me. Not as good, but good enough.”
I raised an eyebrow at her. “Really? Good, that’s it, just good?”
She nodded, smiling teasingly.
“I just remembered something,” I thought aloud.
Amy played with my shirt. “And that is?”
“Remember that time where you told me it was impossible for me to be a vampire?”
She grinned and nodded, still teasing my collar.
“Do you remember the reason why?” I said, smirking.
She dropped my shirt and leaned back into the shelf, away from me. “It’s because you can’t seduce me. Maybe other girls, but not me.”
I jumped at the challenge. “Hmm, I think I can change your mind.”
“And how would that be done?”
My heart hammered at the invitation. I was surprised as I felt the clamminess in my palms. I was never nervous when I talked to girls, never!
“Like so,” I whispered hoarsely.
I pressed my lips down on her soft plump ones. Amy stood still, not kissing back. I growled, but I knew she was trying to stay in charge. So I moved my lips to her jaw and trailed light soft kisses, that I just knew she would love.
I was right.
Her hands went up under my shirt from behind. Shivers ran down my spine and her fingers rubbed my back soothingly. I sucked under her earlobe and heard her sigh.
I took this moment and pressed my lips upon hers. She responded immediately, her lips fusing with mine. Fire burned where our skins met. I brushed my tongue along her lower lip and she opened. Our tongues toyed with each other, teasing and playful.
When we finally pulled away for air, we were both breathing heavily. Amy’s hands had crawled out of my shirt and had been unbuttoning my shirt. Meanwhile, my hands were holding her tightly.
“What time is it?” She whispered, still panting.
I glanced at my watch and pulled my head away, but still holding her. “Almost time for our date. We’d better hurry before they recall my reservation.”
Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Is it expensive?!”
I smirked, my hands still on her waist. “Why, don’t want me to spend to much?”
Amy scoffed. “No, I just don’t want to dress up.”
I chuckled as she grumble. “C’mon, lazy butt. Besides, you probably look smokin’ in a dress.”
She winked coyly. “Not probably, but positively.”
I laughed and she strutted away, towards the exit. I got up and followed, when the elderly librarian stopped me.
“Don’t break her heart,” she croaked.
I stepped back, slightly disturbed. “W-What?”
The old lady wagged her finger at me. “She’s a unique and special girl. Don’t break her heart, boy.”
I wasn’t planning to, I thought warmly. Whoa, did I just think that?! Am I getting whipped?
“Or you’ll regret it. She’s different,” the lady warned, snapping me back to reality.
“Yeah . . . okay,” I said, VERY disturbed now.
“C’mon, Drew!” Amy called from the door.
I trailed after her, shrugging off what the old librarian said.
