"Please just let me go." Lily said.

"Lily, I can't take you with me if Phoebe's already said no." Robin replied.

"I could just watch." Lily suggested.

"Lils, you know I would if I could, but it's too dangerous."

"Gods, you're so annoying!"

"I'm trying to keep you safe."

"I don't care, why can't I just come?"

"Lily, it's to protect you. I wish I could take you, I would love it if you could help, but you're too young."

"What does my age have to do with anything?"

"You're not as experienced as me or Chiara, you know that." Robin's gentle voice was a stark contrast to Lily's upset one.

"Whatever, I'm going to bed. No one bother me.." Lily's door shut and I heard her flop down on her bed.

"What's up with her?" I asked, making Robin jump a little.

"Oh, nothing, just mission stuff." They said.

"She seems really upset." I noted.

"Yeah, she wants to go but Phoebe's not letting her." Robin explained, looking at Lily's door with a sympathetic expression on their face.

"Why does she want to go so badly?" I asked.

"It's related to her life before all of this." Robin told me, and my mouth formed into an O of understanding. I didn't know much about Lily's past, she'd never talked to anyone about it, but I knew that her dad had kind of sucked and that she hated him. Maybe this mission had something to do with him.

"Is she okay?"

"She will be. Uh, anyway, did you need something?"

"No, I was just going to get a snack."

"Okay. Want to make some cookies?"

"Can we?"

"Come on, I think Phoebe just restocked the kitchen." Robin smiled as we started to make our way to the kitchen.
