Well, when I started to write the fic I visualized Tobias' father as the one who killed Tris' parents, that was the idea but then when Tris and Marcus met I thought she should have recognized him.
Then peter appeared and I realized he hadn't made an appereance before and he didn't even have a reason tu hurt her! but I wanted it to be similar to the book so BAM! I changed it.
So for those who guessed that it was Marcus you were right!
