That's it.
From then on, she never exited my mind.

It was the first time I was itching to talk to someone and get to know them better.

Part of the reason was, she is Indian and the other part... She was really attractive and cool and hot..

I shook my head, purifying my thoughts a little as I got ready for the freshman party.

I wore a simple black dress with a half pony and applied a nude gloss and that was the most I could do to get ready.

I wonder what she would wear...?

"God—", I pinched my cheeks, "Stop it."

I took a last look in the mirror, gave a twirl and got out of my room.

I always felt confident in loose fitting clothes, they were comfy as hell.

"See you", I waved at my mom and walked to the Uni.

Kai was late again, as usual.

I didn't even need to look around for Aadhvita.
My gaze fell on her as soon as I entered the hallway.

Floral dress, she left her long wavy hair which reached her waist, her iconic bindi and nothing else.

Simple yet breathtaking.
Okay what am I thinking? Stop it already, Amiya!

And yet, out of all people, in my eyes, she was looking the most stunning that evening.

Oh, oh—

She was walking towards me.
I cleared my throat, composing myself.

Dont ruin this.

"Hey", she said chuckling.

I wasn't sure why she was chuckling until she said, "You were staring again."

Thank God, blushes don't appear that much on my face otherwise I would have been redder than a freaking tomato now.

"I-- I am sorry! I didn't mean to- it's just- you were-", no coherent words came out of my mouth.

She laughed, "Woah woah... Chill. It's fine! It just means that I am looking good."

"Yeah. You really are looking good", I said smiling.

"Thanks... You are not too bad yourself."

I blushed, "Thanks...", I said rubbing my neck.

"Made any friends?"

"Uh.. not yet, I will maybe do it once Kai arrives"

"Inseparable I see..", she said chuckling once again.

"Ah... Nothing like that, we have been friends since middle school so..."

"Oh.. that's long!"

I nodded, "Mhm..."

"So what are you gonna do?"

"I am currently studying management. So that. And you?"

"I have interest in digital marketing"

"Oh it has a lot of scope!"

"And what else? You know Hindi? What do you like about India?"

"Yeah I know Hindi, and India... Is like home. So I basically like everything about it!"

"Damn.. everything huh?"

"Yep and you? Do you live here alone?"

"Yeah my papa dropped me, looked after things and...", she shrugged, "here I am..."

"Liking it?"

"Mm... Missing home but definitely liking it", she said grinning.

She looked so happy.

"America does that to people."

"Liking part or missing home part?", she asked chuckling.

"Liking part", I replied chuckling.

"You have got a pretty good Indian accent too, like- you knew how to pronounce my name."

"Yeah yeah I do, it will definitely piss you off if you don't get to hear your name right."

She laughed, "true"

"Don't worry you will enjoy your time here."

"Yep"

Kai came running and grabbed my arm, panting, "Oh god- sorry I am late!"

"When are you not?", I asked laughing.

She looked at Aadhvita.

"Oh Kai, this is Aadhvita. And Aadhvita, this is Kai"

They shook their hands, "Nice to meet you"

Aadhvita smiled, "Nice to meet you too."

"You know you are really pretty!", Kai said in her amused voice.

"Haha.. thank you...", Aadhvita replied chuckling sheepishly.

"So... Let's start i guess?", I said looking at the crowd of people taking a deep breath.

"Yeah. We don't actually need to make friends just introductions are fine!", Kai said as she grabbed my arm and walked.

Aadhvita followed.

The whole evening we shook hands with different people introducing ourselves, what do we wanna do and all that shit.

Kai and Aadhvita got along pretty well. They just clicked in an instant that evening.

But I was sure.
Except for Kai, I made another friend, and that is, Aadhvita.

And that's how a new friendship started.
Or at least that's what I thought.
