Maddie Wilcox' POV
I silently look around the room, and analyze our situation. The room is very warm, and there are platforms on the walls. The ground is about ten feet below us, and suddenly it opens up to reveal green bubbling acid! I scream and climb as fast as I can. The others do the same, and the acid slowly rises. "Climb! As fast as you can!" We all scramble to the top, the heat increasing with every step. The platforms are slippery and it's hard for me to climb. I hear sneakers slipping and a scream as Kathleen falls into the burning acid. Charlotte grabs Ryan and he wrestles away from her. She holds him tight and forces him up into the next room. I climb into the next room, and just as I do so, Nick falls into the acid. We sigh as the floor slowly lowers to the ground.
