cold tears ran down y/n's cheeks as their phone sat on the very edge of their bed. edit music played on repeat, occasionally overlapped by the recurring dialogue of bang chan and felix. though, it could barely be heard over the sounds of y/n's choked sobs. computer light illuminated the glisten of tears, specifically ticketmaster revealing the sold out stray kids concert tickets. in every single seat.they were far too expensive, anyways. y/n's dad said no at least a thousand times and yet they still persisted. one's damndest all for nothing. what was the point of anything? was there really any value to this thing we call living? they trusted in those basic motives of life, graduate, get a job, become someone great, but it went to hell in this particular moment. all for nothing.
no one was home. y/n had every opportunity to pace around the living room until they couldn't take it anymore, grabbing pillows by the edges and smashing them into one another, all just to collapse wailing into them. but... no. to explain why they were found passed out on the living room floor the next morning would be too much of a bother. the sudden view of nihilism bestowed upon them would prove that any action done to cope would serve no purpose, and they'd be left in the same position they're in now.
the music still played, looped in a way to mock their suffering. there was only one thing left to do. y/n stood up, grabbing their phone and throwing it onto the floor in rage before dropping to their knees and looking under their bed for that box. "it's somewhere... i see it all the time."
"there you are." the one true representation of y/n's american culture. this couldn't be beat. standing up and taking one last glance at the revolting ticket master screen, they held the gun up to their head. shaking fingers ran along the trigger taking a few seconds to process this was last thing they'd ever touch. y/n's closed shut, tightly to hold in more tears threatening to escape. there was no matter. this was it.
"WAITWAITWAITWAITWAITWAIT!"
Their eyes peeked open. Was that Mr. Rogers?
