The next day you made breakfast with the last of your sushi stuff and got ready to go to the market. You grabbed your sword and began the walk. This time you got the stuff for ramen and again thanked the lady before starting on your way.
Suddenly you felt something. You turned to see three guys trying to sneakily pickpocket you. You set your stuff down and quickly grabbed your katana. "Back off." You warned.
"Or what? There's three of us and it's not like a stupid woman could hurt us." They mocked, thinking your sword was a fake.
You gave them another warning and when they still didn't leave you alone, you unsheathed your sword.
They got a little scared but tried to hide it.
By now a crowd had gathered.
The men then tried to make a move and approach you. The one who was the closest to you lunged in an attempt to disarm you. Without even thinking, you used the little bit of knowledge your grandfather had given you and swung your sword leaving a large gash on the dude's chest. It wasn't very deep, it was just long.
The man held his hands to that spot as he began to freak out. The other two men started towards you only for you to leave one of them without the end of his finger and the other an unsavable eye. They all fell to the ground in pain.
You sheathed your sword and grabbed your things before continuing up the mountain. You didn't notice the small smile on your face as you walked.
When you got back to the house you made lunch and continued with your day like normal.
Eventually it was time for supper. You made up some ramen and ate it. You took your sword and sat out on the porch as the sun began to set.
Akaza stared at you from inside the house.
You found yourself giggling slightly as you remembered the way those men went from being confident to crying on the ground.
Akaza sniffed the air. "I smell blood." He paused for a second. "It's not yours, is it?"
"Some men tried to pickpocket me while I was in the village this morning. Unfortunately for them I took my katana with me. I guess I knew more about the use of a katana than I thought." You giggled.
Akaza smiled slightly.
"It makes sense that I smell like blood due to the little bit of bloodshed. I don't think they will be doing that again for a while if ever." You smiled. "Didn't you say something about teaching me martial arts?" You reminded.
Akaza nodded and stepped out of the house.
"So where should we do it?" You asked excitedly.
"We could practice in the forest." Akaza suggested.
"Lead the way." You insisted.
Akaza smiled and walked towards the forest, his feet barely making a sound.
You followed close behind him. "Thanks again for being willing to do this." You smiled.
"Of course." Akaza responded.
You thought for a moment. "Tonight marks five days of me being here. So, thanks again for letting me stay here." You added.
Akaza nodded and walked farther into the forest.
You continued to follow him. "I don't mean to seem impatient but how far are we going?" You asked.
"How about here?" Akaza asked, turning around.
"Ok." You smiled.
