Slayers

The next day you woke up and wondered slightly how you got into your bed but quickly brushed it off. You got changed and restyled your hair before making breakfast. Once you ate you took a walk down to the village, taking your sword just in case. There was a lot of talk going around the town so you stopped to ask one of the shopkeepers what was happening.

"Some people are saying that the lady that comes through here almost everyday is a demon. They say that since she attacked and beat three guys she can't be human because no girl is that strong. Besides, a guy followed her up the mountain a few days ago and he never returned. Some are saying that she ate him. Stupidly, they called in some demon slayers to take care of the matter and they are said to arrive tonight." The lady explained.

You thanked her and continued with your walk. You ate out for lunch and hung around the village for the rest of the evening.

Eventually you saw five young demon slayers walk into the village. One girl had blonde hair, light blue eyes, and wore a light blue haori. The other girl had blue-ish grey hair, light brown eyes, and wore a light pink haori. One boy had brown hair, green eyes, and wore a green haori. Another boy had black hair, red eyes, and wore a red haori. The last boy had brown-ish red/orange hair, yellow eyes, and wore a yellow haori. Watched them from a distance. They seemed to ask someone something and the man pointed up at the path that you always took up and down the mountain. The demon slayers nodded and sat down in a spot where they could watch the path without being too suspicious.

You laughed to yourself before standing up. You began up the path and of course the demon slayers followed you 'sneakily'.

After a short walk you made it back to the house just after the sun had set. "Stop, demon!" The girl with the pink haori called.

You stopped and turned around, pretending to not know anything that was happening. "Demon?" You questioned.

"Yes! We are demon slayers and it is our job to kill your kind!" The boy with the green haori added.

"I think you might be mistaken. I am no demon, I am a human like you. I only carry a sword for self defense and to protect me from the creatures that roam these woods.

"She has to be telling the truth! We saw her walking in the sunlight!" The girl in the blue haori pointed out.

Akaza stared down at them from the roof, completely out of sight.

"Then she is in danger! If someone followed her up here and never came back then she could be next!" The boy in the yellow haori shouted.

"Ma'am you need to come with us. You could be in grave danger." The girl in the pink haori ordered.

"Oh, I'm not in danger... but you are." You replied slyly.

They all reached for their swords.

You laughed. "You think that will save you?" You teased.

They glared at you.

"Alright then." You shrugged. "Akaza!" You called.

Akaza stepped into view on the roof and smiled down at the Demon Slayers. He leaped down and sprinted towards them.

They all unsheathed their swords and stood in a battle ready stance.

"Upper Three?!" The girl in the blue haori yelled in surprise.

"We don't stand a chance!" The boy in the red haori cried.

"Yes we do! We can take him!" The boy in the green haori shouted.

The pink haori, the green haori, and the yellow haori all leaped at Akaza to attack him while the other two stood back and trembled in fear.

Akaza quickly dodged to the side and knocked all of the boys out. Akaza stared at the girls for a few seconds then yelled. "Get out of here!"

The blonde one was about the run when the blue-ish grey one held her back by the collar. "We aren't going anywhere!" She yelled before swinging her sword at Akaza and almost hitting him.

Akaza dodged and shouted. "Leave!"

"No!" The girl shouted back.

Suddenly you came up behind her and knocked her unconscious with one of the kicks you learned.

That freed the blonde girl who immediately ran away.

"Go inside and take the girl with you." Akaza ordered, taking a step closer to the boys's unconscious bodies.

"Of course. Do whatever you wish." You smiled before picking up the girl and carrying her inside. You set her down on an extra bed and sat on the edge, watching out the window.

Akaza walked towards the boys's bodies and began to devour them.

You looked back down at the girl. "She's determined, I'll give her that. But sometimes running away is the smart thing to do." You mumbled to yourself. You began to hum softly as you waited for Akaza to come back in.

After a while Akaza came back in with a little bit of blood smudged on him and wet hair.

You giggled a little bit and looked back down at the girl. "I'm guessing they weren't very high in the ranks." You said calmly.

"Probably not." Akaza replied.

You smiled slightly, got up and stretched, and walked over to the kitchen. "Now it's time for my dinner." You joked as you began to make your supper.

Akaza smiled slightly.

It didn't take you long to make it and after you did you went and sat out on the porch to eat it and watch the stars.

Akaza sat down next to you, smiling.

You smiled too and continued to eat your ramen. You were done soon and continued staring up at the stars. "Thank you, Akaza, for everything. If it weren't for you I would be on my own and I honestly wouldn't have made it." You smiled after a while.

"Of course." Akaza continued to smile.

"Even with a Hashira as a grandfather, I've never felt safer than I do here... with you." You spoke those last two words so quietly that it was almost too quiet to make out.

Akaza smiled slightly wider.

You took a deep breath and continued to watch the sky. "Random question, but, do the Kizuki have a specific base or fortress to meet in?" You asked.

Akaza tilted his head slightly. "Why do you want to know?"

"Just curious." You shrugged, still watching the stars.

"We do, I just can't tell anyone where it is." Akaza answered.

"I didn't expect you to." You thought for a moment longer. "Do most of the Kizuki live there or do you all have your own places to live?" You questioned.

"We have different places." Akaza responded.

"Do you get called there often?" You looked over at him.

"Not really." Akaza replied.

"So are you the only one that refuses to eat certain people?" You asked.

"Probably." Akaza answered.

"Then I'm extra lucky you were the one I ran into." You thought for a moment longer. As you thought, you started to feel sleepy. "Why do you hate Doma so much? I'm not feeling bad for him or anything, I just wanna know." You questioned.

"He mainly eats women and children." Akaza responded, clenching his fists.

You trembled slightly and nodded. "Makes sense why you would hate him then. He also seemed annoying."

"He is." Akaza replied.

You let out a small yawn. "Do any of the demons live in disguise and just blend in with humans?" You asked tiredly.

"Some of them probably do." Akaza answered.

"That's scary." You commented. You let out another small yawn and continued watching the stars.

Akaza smiled slightly and gently leaned against you.

You found yourself blushing slightly before resting your head on him and quickly falling asleep.

Akaza fondly stared at you for a few minutes before scooping you up and gently setting you in bed. He pulled the covers over you and walked away, quickly disappearing into the house.
