Mila pov
I was blessed with a curse. I thought that this meant I was special in a good way when I learned of it, but now that I think of it, it's only been able to cause pain and damage.
A curse many find valuable to use, many that may find it scary or creepy and very few who might just help me with my curse.
I don't know who would be able to help me control this curse, but I know somebody out there, a good soul, might be able to listen and understand.
"Mila, come down right now!" my mom yelled from downstairs, her voice stone-like and angered.
I bowed my head, rushing down, not wanting to see what was waiting for me there.
"I'm glad you came down here when I called, Mila," she said, her voice sending chills down my spine.
I realized that Mili, my younger sister, was also in the living room of our small house.
"Come on, sit down," my mother beckons me, "I have something very important to tell you guys!"
I can tell that this is big news and I started to lift my head up, and look her in the eyes.
"Now, a few days ago, I received a prophecy that one of my children would receive a special vision and be cherished among history!" she exclaimed, turning to both of us.
"I know it's definitely going to be me!" my overconfident sister boasted, smiling widely.
I wanted to scoff, how could Mili be so sure of everything? And plus, what about our older brother?
I mean, sure, our parents could buy her anything she wanted but they surely can't buy her a functioning vision.
"And you, Mila, if you ever encounter any vision like that, you are to hand it to us, your parents," my mom says authoritatively, her eyes warning me that if I didn't, the consequences would be severe.
I nod, not wanting to answer her question using my voice.
Deep in my gut, I knew that tonight, I had to escape from this hell and go somewhere safe.
I thought about how my life would be if I didn't live here anymore as I walked solemnly up the stairs to my room.
->---TIME...SKIP---<-
It was midnight and I had already left my house, my entire past, and out into the unknown.
I decided that a bag of clothing, some food, lots of mora and a small pocket knife would be suitable for my travel.
I knew that I couldn't go on past Inazuma, since that would require too much mora. Money that I can't provide even if I stole most of my parents' money.
I was way past my house, in a peaceful forest with purple petals falling down silently into the ground.
I closed my eyes and leaned against the tree, letting my eyes close and drift off to sleep.
I felt myself being dragged in some sort of bag.
My heartbeat sped up, and I thought, What if that's my parents'!? They're going to actually kill me if they find out that I tried leaving them!
My first instinct was to reach for the knife in my back pocket, which was surprisingly still there.
Thankfully, my captors hadn't realized I had a weapon, or I would've been stuck here till people found it weird that people were dragging a huge bag of something moving.
The bag itself was not durable, so 1 swipe with the knife was able to make a hole. The surprise that my captors showed gave me some time to escape from the bag, but their reflexes were fast and grabbed onto both of my arms.
I concentrated on trying to swipe at the person holding onto my right arm, the one with the knife.
I knew I had successfully cut my captor on the arm, before I was knocked out completely by a needle injected in my neck.
I woke up to a dark room, littered with paper all over the place. When I tried moving, I could barely even move an inch.
I looked down and saw that my hands and feet were shackled to a chair.
I looked around, trying to find a way to get out.
"I see that you've finally woken up", a dark, mysterious voice said behind me, "It took you long enough! You've been asleep for almost 4 days!"
I craned my neck to find this man, and glaring at whatever I could see.
But I was focusing on the other part he had said, the part about me being asleep...
For 4 days!?
I shouldn't even be here! I should be somewhere safe, alone!
I coughed, "Where am I?"
He smirked, "I don't think I would like to tell you that."
This just got me more frustrated!
Who would first put me in a bag, then inject me with a strum that knocked me out cold for 4 days and not even tell me where I am?!
Then, I took another approach, "Do you work for my parents?"
I heard him laugh, "You think your parents are THAT powerful!? I hate to break it to you, sweetheart, but I don't work for your parents!"
Thank god....
"But why don't you know who I am? Under your circumstances, it would be quite obvious who would take you for the curse!" He continued.
"If you knew me so well, you would know I practically live under a rock, I haven't learned anything but how to talk back to my parents!" I mutter under my breath.
"What's that?" He asks, his footsteps coming closer.
"Nothing," I say, "Now, please tell me where I am"
I closed my eyes and imagined my concentration going to the mysterious person behind me and making him tell me where I am.
To my command, he blurted out, "You're with the Fatui."
