you looked around sumeru with wonder
"now that we've made it to sumeru, our next objective should be to head to sumeru city and find a way to meet with lesser lord kusanali!"
paimon exclaimed waving her hands around infront of you and aether
"and speaking of her.. even though we haven't met her she dosen't seemed to be the same deity who abducted your sister.."
paimon said with a thoughtful expression.
"but even so people call sumeru the "nation of wisdom". maybe we can get some useful information about you're brother and sister if we meet the god of wisdom!"
paimon said cheerfully
"sounds like a plan"
aether replied while you nodded beside him determined to save you're brother.
"maybe we should start by going to the statue of the seven first.."
you said while turning your gaze to the statue.
before you even walked up ahead you noticed someone approaching as paimon said
"wait a second.. look! there's someone up ahead!"
a woman with teal hair and glasses passed by as paimon continued
"perfect timing! now we can ask for directions!"
"hey there! we're not from around here and seemed to have gotten a little lost.. we'd like some directions!"
paimon shouted but the woman only passed by ignoring paimon
"huh? did they not hear paimon? HEY! could you give us some directions?!"
paimon shouted louder while you covered your ears.
the woman then looked at the three of you with a weird look
"huh?"
she then continued her way without answering us
"people of sumeru are soo- kind!"
you said sarcastically with half lidded eyes
"could she be ignoring us?! how dare she!"
paimon exclaimed while puffing her cheeks
"calm down. it's probably nothing to get worked up about."
aether scolded paimon.
"hmph! well even so she might be heading somewhere where we could find other people to ask. let's keep our distance and follow her!"
paimon said
the three of you sneakly followed the woman as paimon whispered
"just keep quiet and make sure she doesn't notice us!"
"huh?! she just walked near that small waterfall and vanished!"
paimon said frantically
you deadpanned as you pointed towards a cave.
"she went there paimon."
"paimon knew that!"
paimon puffed her cheeks
"paimon thought that this cave would lead to a village or something but uh.. it looks like that's not the case.."
the three of you spotted the woman sitting inside the cave
"look! she's sitting over there! wait. she couldn't be possibly living here.. could she?"
"let's ask her again."
you said determined
"sure let's give it another shot."
aether said with a small smile
"alright then. it's not like we have anyone else to ask.. even if she's not friendly, we just need her to point the directions."
paimon replied
you stared at aether and paimon as they sniffed the scent of the gas coming out of the censor infront of the woman
"oh! mmm! what a lovely smell!"
paimon said sniffing the smell even more with her eyes closed
"it's coming from that censor over there. this is definitely not your typical place to call home. but atleast it smells nice! hmm. maybe living here wouldn't be bad afterall."
paimon said while you rolled your eyes playfully
