ACT ONE
Alison sat beside her older sister, Wanda Maximoff, at a table in Lagos. Wanda wore a green baseball cap and matching green jacket, while Alison wore a black cardigan over a maroon tank top. She picked up a spoon to stir a pack of sugar into her coffee and sipped it as Wanda turned around, glancing subtly.
Today is Alison Maximoff's first official mission. She was somewhat enthused to be able to use her powers for good, but it was a challenge sometimes. Alison assumed she'd have her powers damped after she almost burned down the Avengers Tower when using her pyrokinetic abilities during a training session with Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow.
"Standard beat cops," Wanda commented, the others having been listening through the comms they all had in their ears. "Small station. Quiet street...It's a good target," she added, sipping her tea.
"There's an ATM on the south corner, which means?" Steve Rodger, Captain America, spoke through his comms as he looked down from his view. "Cameras," Alison answered. "Both streets are one way," he told the Maximoff's.
Wanda looked over at her sister, wanting an answer. "So, compromised escape routes," Alison said quietly enough so only the comms could hear. "Means our guy doesn't care about being seen," Steve stated. "He isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out," he added.
"See that Range Rover halfway up the block," Steve asked. "Yeah, the red one? It's cute," Wanda commented. "It's also bulletproof, which means private security, which means more guns. Which means more headaches for somebody, probably us," Natasha said, not taking a breath between her statements.
"You guys know I can move things with my mind, right?" Wanda said as she brought her teacup up to her lips. "And I can set things on fire with my mind," Alison murmured as Wanda sent a grin over to her sister's comment.
"Looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature for you. Both of you," Natasha said. Wanda looked over her shoulder, sending a slight glare Natasha's way. Alison didn't turn around as she just started playing with the rings on her fingers.
"Anyone ever tell you you're a bit paranoid?" Sam Wilson, The Falcon, spoke up as he listened to the girls bickering through his comm system. "Not to my face. Why? Did you hear something?" Natasha said as Alison let out a slight chuckle but stopped as she heard Steve speak, "Eyes on the target, folks."
"This is the best lead we've had on Rumlow in six months. I don't want to lose him." Steve added. Sam scoffed, "If he sees us coming, that won't be a problem. He kinda hates us."
"Sam, you see that garbage truck? Tag it," Steve ordered. Sam pushes a button on his suit, letting out a tag and sending it straight to the garbage truck. "Give me an X-ray," Sam said, commanding the tag. "The truck's loaded for mass weight. And the drivers are armed."
"It's a battering ram," Natasha commented. Wanda's gaze fell, making Alison notice instantly. "Go now," Steve ordered. "What?" Wanda questioned, adding a bit of panic in her voice.
"He's not hitting the police," Steve said. Wanda turned to her sister, grabbed Alison's wrist, and pulled her up abruptly.
The Maximoff's sister started getting out of the restaurant. Walking out, they saw Falcon flying down from the top of a building he had been standing on hours ago. Wanda pushed off the ground with her red hue. Alison threw her hands back swiftly, causing her to fly up into the sky with a harsh gust of wind.
"Steve, where is he heading?" Wanda asked, glancing back at her sister, ensuring she was still in the air and not facing first on the ground. Wanda knew Alison wasn't always a big fan of using her air and fire abilities as she was ice, water, and earth.
