**Jeemin's POV**

I awoke with sores lining every part of my body. The light from the sun encompassed my entire face. My blanket was kicked halfway to the floor and my pillow wasn't even on the mattress anymore (if you could even call it a mattress).

The first thing I did was check the time on my phone; it was 10:24. Glancing to my side, I observed the sleeping beauty. She was huddled next to the wall, loosely hugging her teddy bear. One of her legs was sprawled off the bed.

I scratched the back of my neck; a nervous tick I've developed since my childhood. What to do... what to do...

I needed to get outside soon; the festival is today and I already signed up to help set up. As I stood above Sarang, my phone blared with multiple desperation texts from Jiyoon pleading me to hurry up since she doesn't want to go to the Student Union room alone.

I remembered one of the rules I made in the contract: both participants must be awake by 6 AM on school days. Weekends can be at 10am at the latest. Yet, we somehow already broke the rules on our first night. Not the best particular showing I suppose.

"Sarang~" I poked her cheek. She remained unfazed by my touch. "Sarang~" I poked her even harder. When that didn't work, I started shaking her shoulder, progressively getting more aggressive.

"Huh...? What is it?" She rubbed her eyes, "Jeemin, what do you want?"

"Sorry for waking you, but I need to get out of here," I whispered.

"Yeah sure. Let me just change."

I looked down at my own clothes. An ocean blue pajama set that was clearly not meant to be seen by public eye. "Hey... sorry... but could you... possibly give me a hoodie...?"

She giggled, "Yeah sure dude. Here." She tossed a ruby red hoodie behind her with perfect precision.

I put it on; it was a bit snug, although I guess it's because she's noticeably very tiny. "Thanks."

"Yeah no problem. But... could you turn around? I need to... ummm..."

"Oh yeah, for sure."

She initiated a conversation while she changed. "So how was the mattress last night? I didn't really know what to do for your bed so I just laid out blankets; I hope it was alright."

"It was fine, thank you. You don't need to worry about my bedding situation; I'll figure it out myself."

"I want to though. We're in this together."

After a couple seconds, she announced I could turn around. When I did, she was already peering outside her room and carefully watching outside her room for any trouble. "Hurry; coast is clear!"

Seizing the opportunity, we quickly dashed outside undetected. We shared a sheepish glance while awkwardly trying to bid each other farewell.

"So I'm just gonna go to the Student Union building to help set up for the festival today," I announced. "Where are you gonna go?"

"I think..." she glanced at her phone, "I'm actually headed the other way-- to the library. My friend wanted to study together, so..."

"Oh. I'll catch you later then."

"Yeah... goodbye." She turned to go the other way, walking noticeably faster than normal.

"Oh wait Sarang!"

She flung her head around, "Yeah?"

"Y-you should come to the festival later today!"

A smile grew on her face easing away from our initial morning intensity. "Sure. I'd love to."
