The clock on the wall ticked steadily towards 7 PM, but Jungkook was oblivious to the passing time as he sat in the sleek meeting room of his office. The atmosphere was tense, filled with the murmurs of his team discussing their latest ventures. Just as he leaned back in his chair, the phone on the table buzzed sharply, breaking through the chatter. One of his men, Jin, was on the line.

“Boss, we found her,” Jin said, a hint of urgency creeping into his voice.

Jungkook felt a surge of adrenaline wash over him. Without a word, he stood up abruptly, knocking his chair back in his haste. His heart raced as he dashed for the elevator. Memories of the past flooded his mind, pushing his thoughts into the darkness he had tried to suppress.

Flashback: Seven Years Ago

Jungkook stood on the bridge, the soft breeze tousling his hair. He had received a call from her minutes earlier, her voice soft and inviting. He thought she wanted to talk about their relationship, to find a way to make things work. Little did he know, this would be the moment that altered the very course of his life.

As he approached, she stood there—her long hair cascading over her shoulders, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. He opened his arms, but instead of embracing him, she stepped back, creating a chasm that felt insurmountable.

“Jungkook, I... I can’t do this anymore,” she said, her voice trembling.

“What do you mean?” he replied, desperation clawing at his throat. “You’re my everything. Please don’t do this.”

“I love someone else,” she confessed, her words slicing through him like a dagger.

“No! You can’t just leave like this!” he nearly shouted, panic setting in. He reached out for her, but she turned away.

“Goodbye, Jungkook,” she said softly, and with that, she walked away. His heart shattered at her retreating figure.

In a haze of disbelief and grief, he followed her, calling out her name. Just as he stepped onto the road, a truck careened around the corner, its horn blaring. The world spun wildly as everything went dark, but even in unconsciousness, he mumbled her name, desperate for her to turn back. She never did.

Present Day

Jungkook gripped the steering wheel of his car, each recollection intensifying the burning anger within him. He reached the secluded location where his men had her hidden, a derelict warehouse far from prying eyes. He stepped out, the cold air hitting him like a slap in the face, but he welcomed the pain.

Inside, he found her bound to a pole, her struggles futile against the ropes that held her captive. His heart raced, but this time it wasn’t the rush of love—it was vengeance.

“Look who we have here,” he said, stepping closer, a cruel smirk stretching across his face. "The lost girl returned."

She recognised him. She glared at him with a mix of anger and fear. “Jungkook, you don’t have to do this. I left you, yes. But this isn’t you!”

He laughed, a dark, mocking sound. “Oh, but it is me now. You made me into this monster. I was innocent once, dreaming about a future with you, but look what you’ve done!”

“I didn’t betray you! I—”

“Betrayal? You confessed your love for someone else! You ripped my heart out!” He stepped closer, his smile fading into a serious expression filled with regret and fury. “I used to love you with all my heart. But that girl doesn’t exist anymore, does she?”

She spat at his feet in disgust. “You think this makes you powerful? Kidnapping me won’t bring back the past!”

He wiped the saliva off his shoe with a calculated nonchalance. “Powerful? No. But it will give me the satisfaction of payback. You left me broken on that bridge, and now look where we stand.”

“Jungkook, please!” she pleaded, desperation flaring in her voice. “We can work this out. You don’t have to do this.”

He stepped back, the smirk creeping back into his expression as he glanced over his shoulder to his men. “Take her to the mansion. We’ll have some fun.”

“Jungkook!” she shouted, but he turned away, leaving her cries echoing in the empty warehouse. For Jungkook, this was just the beginning—a chance to reclaim the life she had so callously discarded and to exact the revenge that would finally satiate his long-held hunger for justice.

And as the doors slammed shut behind him, he knew that hell had just begun.
