This happened in war at Cybertron, the autobots were battling the decepticons Bee is battling Megatron but he has the upperhand he grabs Bee's neck. Bee tries to get his grip off his neck Megatron crushed Bee's neck which loses his voice right in front of Optimus much to his shock Optimus remember what his friend Garmadon Prime had said he always remember him, Optimus not willing to lose someone he truly cares Bee survived but couldn't save his voice he's unable to speak he only can do is sign language.
