Currently, the three are navigating through the city, having just arrived at the western side of the ruined metropolis where they are being showered with a light drizzle of rain, but nowhere as severe as the storm just a few hours ago
Mei: ...
Akiri: ...
Raven: ...
During their entire journey, not a single word was spoken, which seemed to have made Raven slightly bothered by the silence between them, and she finally spoke out about it.
Raven: The silence irks me. You two have something to say, right?
Mei: How did you know?
Raven: You think I didn't notice your stares? I know we're not friends, but I don't mind talking
Akiri: How exactly are you going to track Kiana?
The boy asks the question the two of them were wondering about.
Raven: I have my ways. It'll be better if I just show you
She steps ahead and later, she spotted a stray Honkai beast, wandering around aimlessly.
Raven: There. That's a suitable target
Mei: Suitable targ-?
Before she could complete her sentence, Raven rushed past them. In a blink of an eye, she knocks down the Honkai beast and lands on top of it before sinking her talons into its carapace, causing it to let out a cry.
A crimson hue briefly spread across its pale shell before dissipating just as quickly. Its dying growls soon stopped and it lay motionless.

Akiri and Mei ran over to her, with puzzled faces at what she was doing.
Mei: What did you do?
Raven: An "exchange" you might say. These common beasts aren't sentient, but will respond to Honkai signals. A sort of connection
She explains to them as she then pulls out her blades from the carcass with a grunt.
Raven: Disrupting these signals allows me to change their behaviours slightly. That's how I've kept beasts and zombies away from the safe zone
Akiri: You manipulate Honkai signals? How?
Raven: I let myself get infected, just enough to tap into the Honkai
Mei: What?
The two were shocked at what she said as they looked at her in disbelief, and she then nodded in confirmation.
Raven: You heard right. But the process is usually done quick enough before I could get completely consumed
Akiri: Still, exposing yourself to Honkai can't be good for your body
