Salar's family left leaving a tense silence in his wake. Sitara’s family remained rooted in their spots, simmering with a mix of anger and humiliation. No one dared to voice their resentment yet, the weight of Salar's words still hanging heavy in the air.
It wasn’t until much later, as they prepared to leave the venue, that the full extent of Salar’s actions hit them. The guards Salar had stationed around the house had silently approached Sitara.
"Come, ma’am," one of the guards said politely, guiding Sitara toward the waiting car.
The car itself was a gleaming, black luxury sedan. Sitara hesitated, glancing back at her family, but Sana nudged her gently. "Let’s go," sana whispered.Sitara climbed into the car, sana following closely. The plush interior and quiet hum of the engine were a stark contrast to the modest lifestyle she had known. As the driver started the car and they pulled away, Sitara’s family stood on the roadside, watching in silence.
The envy in their expressions was unmistakable. Suraiya’s lips pressed into a thin line, her gaze sharp with bitterness. "He hasn’t even married her yet, and already he’s treating her like royalty," she muttered, her voice dripping with contempt.
Kiran added" pata nahi kya jadu kiya hai ussne salar par, that he is ready to marry her after her actions. He doesn't care about her reputation at all"
Nimmi stood in a corner burning in her envy. The way salar had protected sitara and defended her heart hurting. After whatever she did, how did sitara still get salar with her. Qasim wasn't in a better condition either, he saw the way sitara looked at salar when he defended her. She looked at him as if he had brought her stars from the cloud and that made him very angry. The family were very helpless by salar's power and influence. They could do nothing to stop what's going on.
Meanwhile as the car glided smoothly down the road, the tension of the evening seemed to fade into the background for Sitara. Sitara leaned back against the plush leather seat, staring out of the window, her thoughts still tangled in the storm that had erupted earlier. Beside her, Sana sat with a contented smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Bola chaiye” Sana began, breaking the silence, “Salar Bhai yeh toh Kamal ke, Did you see the looks of your family Priceless.” She let out a small laugh, shaking her head. “I don’t think they’ve ever been this quiet in their lives.”
Sitara turned her gaze from the window, a faint smile tugging at her lips. “He didn’t have to go to such lengths,” she said softly. “The guards, the car—it’s too much.”
“Too much?” Sana scoffed, nudging her playfully. “ Salar bhai adores you, Sitara. You don’t even realize how lucky you are, do you?. I'm jealous of your destiny. Koi bhi ladki hogi. Salar bhai jaise tumhe mohabbat karte hai na aur puri duniya ki samane usska intezar karthe hai bina kuch soche, parwa kiye. Really, you're so lucky”
Sitara’s cheeks flushed faintly, her fingers twisting nervously in her lap. “I know he cares,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “But it still feels… overwhelming. Mujhe itne mohabbat ki aadat nahi hai Sana ”
“Toh dala dho sitara,” Sana said with a grin. “Salar bhai is going to spoil you more with his love and care. I know that for sure ”
Sitara let out a small laugh, her nerves easing under Sana’s teasing. “Pata hai mujhe, agar sach ki dho toh mujhe unke saath aacha lagta hai” she confessed, her tone softening. “No one’s ever done that for me before. Not like this.”
“Kyunki salar bhai jaise koi nahi,” Sana replied with a wink. “ woh sirf protective nahi; he’s determined. And that determination? It’s all for you.”
Sitara’s smile grew, her heart warming at Sana’s words. “You’re right,” she said finally. “I am lucky. And I’m starting to realize just how much.”
