Plish plop splash. Went the giant rain-filled leaves above her head, Glory had walked over to a sum-what dry branch. Her tail flopped into a muddy puddle, turning her scales brown and orange. Great. Just great. She thought heavily.
She smoothed back her scales, making them her normal colours. Glory was headed to the rainwing request pavilion, apparently dragons couldn't sort out their own problems. Glory had been thinking about the attack, it probably wasn't going to happen... right? It didn't matter, she had other problems right now.
She sat down on her hammock and the first rainwing arrived, Deathbringer sitting next to her throne, eyeing him suspiciously. "Good morning your majesty." He did a deep bow and stood back up after signalling to him. "Can the fruit gathering dragons search a bit farther? I mean, we only get the same fruits!" A hefty dragon barged in and glared at him.
"That's what I'm seeing her about! Not going as far! If you don't like it then you should go get your own!" Okay, calm Glory, CALM.
"Hey hey, let's settle this. Your names?" She asked regally.
"Astrapia." The scrawny one muttered.
"I'm Bamboo and please, don't make us go too far!" He hissed at the other one.
"Alright, Astrapia? How about you get the fruit you like and plant the trees near our village, okay?" He nodded at that. "And bamboo, you can go as far as you like but try to search for exotic fruits as well, okay?" They politely nodded and walked out of the hut.
"I swear, these dragons will make me have a mental breakdown." She rubbed her forehead, a bit overwhelmed. "If I may say, you did really well handling that situation." He said seriously.
"Yes well," she waved a claw at him "of course you would think that." She looked forward only to see him giving her an amused expression. The next few hours went the same, rainwing complains, Glory gives answer, and next one comes in. After the thirty fourth rainwing she decided to take a break.
"That's enough for today, you may all come back tomorrow." They sighed and flew off, streaks of orange flashed through their scales. That's fair! One dragon can only take SO MUCH complaining. She looked at Deathbringer and he looked like he wanted to ask her something. "Yes?" Glory asked carefully.
"You need to relax, and that isn't just sun-time or sleeping, just... I don't know how to word this." She gave him a look and he gave one straight back. He looked as though he was waiting for a colour to pop into her scales, but didn't. I'm not that easily distracted Deathbringer. "Okay, I guess you're right."
"Yes, I always am. Anyway," he continued as she internally giggled "I've prepared for this, follow." He told her. She glared at him playfully and he took off. When they got there, they had a perfect view of the sky.
