CHAPTER 4 ARE YOU OK?....
you wake up the next morning and look at the nurse changing the trash in the room you are in. you request for a family member forgetting you are still in the small town you visited. you ran out your room and found an emergency phone, your hands shook as you were scared of getting caught. you felt like one of the skinny girls with blonde hair who says "who's there" in a horror movie. you called your mother because you memorized her cell after the 7 years you've been trying to. the phone went to voicemail you said " H-Hi mother its me- Mal- please come get me from here its a place in..." you looked up at walls for the hospital name "FEAR VALLEY, FEAR VALLEY HOSPITAL" you heard the nurse slowly walking around calling your name " Mal? Mal honey where are you?" you run back to your room the long way so the nurses didn't find you running around. You looked through your computer as you see a document "N/A'' you click on it to see a old poem you had made "we sit there - Just smiling, little do they know - It's just mask - A show - Like a pet in a zoo we show what they want - A happy teen - A show - They want us to act - Not just any act - Maturity and happiness - A show I hide - So do you, I can tell - A show - Stop holding it - Tell me what's wrong - Cause... I see - A show" you fall asleep from running and take a small 2 hour nap. you wake back up to your mother rubbing your shoulder " Hey Mally, I'm here kiddo" you mumble " oh. hm? what?'' Next thing you know you're in the car with your mom on the way home, you look out the window watching the beautiful old farms and fields go by, you work on something on your laptop and doze off, getting woken up by that one special turn that you know means home. you instantly get your little siblings to bed, You walk down to your room after finishing getting your little brother and little sister down for bed, it's around 10 through 11 Pm your sister fell asleep in the kitchen on the couch and your little brother fell asleep in his bed. You suddenly hear your 3 dogs start barking and hear " NO STOP" from the kitchen. you run out to see your father with a boiling bowl of chili trying to dump it on your mother, he fails dumping the chili and grabs your mother by the neck with both hands, choking her. you stand there... frozen as you see your mother's face turn purple he pushes her over the couch and forces her down into the couch. It took you a moment to understand why your aunt kept yelling "ADDI GOD ADDI '' then you realized. Father was crushing your little sister with mother's body. You see your sister's arm reach out hoping for assistants but you couldn't move. You stood there flabbergasted. You couldn't believe he was doing this. You run out to your aunt as she runs after your mother, they lead you outside, your father runs out with the bottle of Jack Daniels, He tries getting on his motorcycle as his friend comes over. His friend brought him up the road to an old area you all called "The Shop". You look out the open garage door as you hear your mother crying, crickets chirping as loud as they could. Your dogs were still kind of barking, not understanding that their father was gone. She was talking to your aunt and her friend about the situation. You and one of your brothers sit there at the door listening as he throws something out the door hitting an old dog food bag. Your aunt sees you and your brother and y'all run inside and start cleaning the mess. You clean your dumped alcohol and he picks up a little garbage. Once you are done cleaning the garbage you clean the whole kitchen. meanwhile your parents aren't to be found. You walk to your room again. You changed into pajamas; emotionless. You grab the television remote and turn on an ASMR as you lay down trying to fall asleep. you turn facing the wall as you feel a single tear roll down your cold face. You thought to yourself "what the hell..... why would he do this- he never put his hands on Ashley why would he hurt mother..." your brother runs in and goes "i'm scared" you tell him to shut up, be a man and go to bed, next thing you know you black out and wake up to your father waking you up. He tries to hug you and apologize but something comes over you and your brain becomes empty, you just knew you hated him for now and that wasn't gonna change soon.
