chapter four

My mom was surprised when I called her and told her I would be staying the night at a friend's house. She was even more surprised when I told her it wasn't Adagio or Aria. I never thought something like this would ever come up, but Fluttershy didn't want to leave me to deal with my problem alone.

I didn't understand why Fluttershy wanted to help me. I literally helped Aria and Adagio turn her school into mind controlled zombies. Why would she care about me?

"Shouldn't you hate me?" I said as we got ready for bed. "I mean after what I did to you and your friends?"

"I mean..." Fluttershy rolled up in the corner of the bed. "I still get scared at the thought of being mind controlled" She shuttered "but you weren't the only one to do that, I mean sunset shimmer did the same but now we are all friends with her."

"Thanks," was the only thing I could think to say as I held out a hand towards Fluttershy to show I'm not going to try and hurt her. Even though Fluttershy is still kind of scared right now, which is understandable, she was doing this to help me.

"If you are serious about- about wanting to be different, of course."

I sat on the bed holding a can of soda Fluttershy had given me earlier. And I realized, Fluttershy is very kind and I should have ditched Aria and Adagio way sooner.

"I just hope your friends are willing to accept me, just like you were."

Fluttershy freaked out when her phone started ringing so suddenly "oh my gosh!" She picked up her phone and answered it.

After a few minutes she hung up the phone. "I guess my friends are having band practice tomorrow. We can talk to them about this then."

"Alright,"

I didn't know what I could possibly say to make them understand. From my understanding, it took a while for them to forgive sunset shimmer. And that's when she didn't have the chance of using her powers to hurt others again. I might have my powers back and that's the scariest part of all this, how can I show I'm not gonna use my powers to hurt anyone? How can I be certain that I won't?

"Trust me, it might take a while but they will forgive you." Fluttershy held my hand reassuringly. This gave me a small pang of hope. And what's more precious than hope?
