"I want to know your thoughts about Benjamin... Okay ba siya?" I asked Phoebe as we ate at our usual and favorite spot.

"I'll tell you this not because he's my friend, but because I know him as a person. He's... you know, I don't want to lie about him, but he's a flirt. Sobrang flirt!" she told me. "What are you expecting from engineering students? Mga red flag sila! And he's one of those."

"Hmm... Okay," I replied, taking a bite of my food.

"Girl, wala kang aasahan sa mga lalaking pumapasok sa green school! Mga red flags talaga sila! Well, based on my experience," she continued, shrugging.

"Green school?" I inquired.

"DLSU! Doon ka rin mag-aaral, 'di ba?" Tumawa siya. "Maliit nga ang mundo."

I bit my lower lip.

"Emcy, I'm not trying to scare you, ah. I recommend naman si Benj as a friend, but as a lover? It's a big no. Ang dami na niyang nilandi tapos iniwan din afterwards! Like ghosting, ganern. Kaya 'yung mga sinabi ko about him, it's more like I'm warning you. I just want you to be careful... Sometimes people aren't what they seem," Phoebe said.

I shrugged. "Ang dami mong sinasabi, wala naman akong pakialam sa lalaking 'yon. Besides, it's not like I'll be in a relationship with him."

"Come on, Emcy." Tinusok niya ang tagiliran ko. "Updated ako sa inyong dalawa, 'no! Lahat ata ng dates niyo ay alam ko. So don't lie to my face."

Tumawa ako. "Hindi ba uso sa 'yo ang friendly date?"

"Friendly date my ass." Phoebe rolled her eyes. "Itataya ko ang buong buhay ko, pustahan, any time soon, kayo na."

"Whatever."

Benjamin is a player, huh... If he's a player, then I'm his coach!

Hindi pwedeng lokohin niya ako, 'no!

And now, everything makes sense.

Manloloko siya-at naloko na niya agad ako. He told me it was his first time going on a date, yet he's flirted with so many girls before. How could he say that? I hate liars... And there he was, literally lying to my face

Good thing I canceled our lunch date today and went with Phoebe instead. At least now, I got to know him. It's funny how he tells me random things about himself, but didn't mention how big of a flirt and player he was.
