"No distractions"

In the heart of the dense woods just outside Barcelona, the air hung heavy with humidity, the scent of damp earth and pine needles filling the space around Gabriela and Valentino. The sun filtered through the thick canopy of leaves overhead, casting dappled shadows on the ground. This secluded area was their training ground, a place where nature's beauty contrasted sharply with the intensity of their workout.

"Push harder!" Sensei barked, his voice echoing through the trees. "You two are the only ones taking this seriously! The rest of the team is slacking off, and I won't let that happen on my watch!"

Gabriela felt the weight of his words. She could see the other members of the team lounging in the distance, taking breaks and chatting, while she and Valentino were drenched in sweat, their bodies screaming for respite. But there was no time for weakness; not today.

"Valentino, drop and give me twenty!" Sensei commanded, his eyes narrowing as he watched the young man's movements. Valentino dropped to the ground without hesitation, muscles trembling as he pushed himself up and down, each rep a battle against fatigue. Gabriela joined him, her breath coming in sharp gasps as she mirrored his efforts.

"Faster! I want to see you both working like your lives depend on it!" Sensei's voice cut through the air, and Gabriela felt a surge of adrenaline. She pushed herself harder, her arms burning, but she refused to let up. The pain was a reminder that they were alive, that they were fighting for something greater than themselves.

As they finished their push-ups, Sensei wasted no time. "Now, sprint to that tree and back! Go!" He pointed to a towering pine several yards away, its trunk thick and imposing. Gabriela and Valentino shot off like arrows, their legs pumping, hearts racing. The world around them blurred as they focused solely on reaching the tree and returning.

Gabriela reached the tree first, her fingers brushing against the rough bark before she turned and sprinted back. The moment she crossed the starting line, her sensei was there, his expression stern. "Not good enough! You both need to be faster! Again!"

They repeated the sprint, again and again, each time pushing their limits, each time feeling the exhaustion creep in. But there was no room for defeat; they were warriors in training, and this was their crucible.

"Now, I want you to climb that tree!" Sensei pointed to a sturdy oak nearby, its branches stretching out like welcoming arms. "And don't come down until you reach the top!"

Gabriela exchanged a glance with Valentino, a mix of determination and apprehension in their eyes. They approached the tree, their hands gripping the rough bark as they began to ascend. The higher they climbed, the more the branches swayed beneath their weight, and Gabriela could feel her heart pounding in her chest, not just from exertion but from the exhilarating fear of height.
