"Last night was a mistake"

Gabriela slowly opened her eyes, squinting against
the harsh light streaming through the hotel room curtains. The first thing she noticed was the unfamiliarity of her surroundings. The walls were painted a soft beige, adorned with abstract art, and the plush carpet felt foreign beneath her feet. As she sat up, a wave of confusion washed over her. She couldn't quite remember how she ended up here, but the dull ache in her head suggested that the night had been anything but ordinary. It was noon, and the sun was high in the sky, illuminating the room in a way that made her feel even more disoriented.

As she glanced around, Gabriela's heart raced when she spotted him—Kwon, a shirtless boy, lounging next to her on the bed. His tousled hair fell across his forehead, and the muscles that adorned his arms caught her eye. She felt a flutter of embarrassment mixed with intrigue. How had they ended up like this? The last clear memory she had was of laughing and chatting with Maria at the bar after training, the two of them enjoying the thrill of the night ahead. She remembered bumping into Kwon and his friend Yoon, their playful banter adding to the excitement of the evening.

Shaking her head to clear the fog, Gabriela tried to piece together the events of the previous night. She recalled the vibrant atmosphere of the bar, the clinking of glasses, and the taste of fruity cocktails that had gone down far too easily. The laughter and music had created a whirlwind of joy, and she had felt so carefree, so alive. But now, the reality of her situation was beginning to sink in, and the warmth she had felt earlier was now replaced with a sense of panic.

She cautiously swung her legs over the side of the bed, her feet meeting the cool floor. The room was quiet, save for the soft sound of Kwon's breathing. She couldn't help but steal glances at him, a mix of admiration and confusion swirling within her. How had she ended up sharing a bed with a boy she barely knew? The thought sent a shiver down her spine, and she felt her cheeks flush with warmth.

Gabriela stood up, trying to shake off the remnants of last night's indulgence. She padded quietly toward the bathroom, hoping to splash some water on her face and gather her thoughts. As she moved, she couldn't help but glance back at Kwon, who remained blissfully unaware of her turmoil. She had always found him attractive, even if she hated to admit it but this was a whole new level of intimacy that she hadn't anticipated.

In the bathroom, she splashed cold water on her face, the refreshing sensation helping to clear her mind. She stared at her reflection, taking in the disheveled hair and slightly smudged makeup. It was a stark contrast to the confident girl who had walked into the bar the night before. Gabriela took a deep breath, reminding herself that it was just a night out, and that she was allowed to let loose every once in a while.

After a few moments, she returned to the bedroom, her heart racing with uncertainty. Kwon was still asleep, his chest rising and falling softly. She felt a mix of emotions—curiosity, embarrassment, and a hint of excitement. What would happen when he woke up? Would they both pretend this had never happened, or would they acknowledge the strange turn of events that had brought them together?
