Souto had finally shaken off the cold that had left him moody, irritable, and, frankly, even more unbearable than usual. With his strength back, the eight-year-old was ready to cause havoc once more. This, of course, meant chaos for Shinso and Aizawa.

The morning sun streamed through the windows as Souto sat at the breakfast table, scarfing down his cereal like it was the last meal of his life. Aizawa sat across from him with his ever-present cup of coffee, dark circles under his eyes as usual. Shinso leaned on the counter, scrolling through his phone, fully prepared for whatever nonsense his little “brother” might try to pull.

“So, what’s the plan for today?” Souto asked, his mouth half-full of cereal.

“The plan is for you to go to school,” Aizawa replied flatly, sipping his coffee.

Souto groaned, slamming his spoon into the bowl dramatically. “That’s so boring. Can’t I just stay home and—”

“No,” Aizawa cut him off before he could finish. “You’re going. End of discussion.”

“Ugh, you’re no fun,” Souto grumbled, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. His fangs peeked out as he pouted, making him look less intimidating and more like a petulant toddler.

Shinso smirked. “You’d be bored out of your mind if you stayed home. Remember last time? You tried to fight the toaster.”

“It started it!” Souto shot back, glaring at Shinso.

“Sure it did,” Shinso said, barely holding back laughter. “What’s your excuse for biting the microwave, then?”

Souto’s face turned red, and he quickly looked away. “...That was different.”

Aizawa set his coffee mug down and gave Souto a pointed look. “You’re going to school, and you’re going to behave.

The First Day Back

The walk to school was uneventful—for about five minutes. Souto, still riding the high of being back at full strength, was practically vibrating with energy. He darted ahead of Shinso, weaving through the crowd on the sidewalk and causing several pedestrians to stumble as they tried to avoid the small, overly enthusiastic vampire.

“Souto, slow down!” Shinso called, jogging to catch up.

“I’m faster than you!” Souto shouted over his shoulder, grinning like he’d just won the Olympics.

Shinso rolled his eyes. “Yeah, because you’re running away like a scared little—”

“Say it, and I’ll bite you!” Souto snapped, baring his fangs.

Shinso stopped in his tracks, raising an eyebrow. “You really want to go there?”

Souto hesitated, his bravado faltering for just a second. “...Maybe.”

With a smirk, Shinso crossed his arms. “Keep it up, and you’ll be doing what I say for the rest of the day.”

Souto narrowed his eyes but wisely decided not to push his luck. He grumbled under his breath and slowed his pace, falling into step beside Shinso.

Back in Class

Souto’s return to school was as chaotic as expected. Within the first hour, he managed to knock over a stack of books, accidentally bite his pencil in half, and start an argument with a classmate over whose quirk was cooler.

“I’m just saying,” Souto declared loudly, “my quirk is way better than yours. You can make bubbles? Big deal. I’ve got fangs, strength, and—”

“And you drool on your desk when you’re hungry,” the classmate shot back, earning a chorus of laughter from the other students.

Souto’s face turned bright red, and his fists clenched. “Take that back!”

“Or what? You’ll bite me?” the kid teased, holding up his arm mockingly.

Souto took a step forward, his fangs glinting, but before he could do anything stupid, the teacher’s voice rang out.

“Souto, sit down!”

He froze, glancing back at the teacher with a sheepish grin. “I was just kidding!”

The teacher didn’t look amused. “Now.”

Souto muttered something under his breath and slumped back into his seat, his classmates still snickering. He shot them a glare, vowing to show them who was boss later.

After School Chaos

When Souto returned home that afternoon, he was still fuming. He burst through the door, dropping his bag on the floor with a dramatic thud.

“Kids at school are so annoying!” he shouted, throwing himself onto the couch.

Aizawa, who was in the kitchen making dinner, didn't even look up. “What happened now?”

“They said my quirk was gross!” Souto whined, kicking his feet against the armrest. “I should’ve bitten them!”

Aizawa sighed. “And then what? You’d get in trouble, and we’d have to deal with parent-teacher meetings. Do you want that?”

Souto groaned, burying his face in a pillow. “No...”

Shinso walked in, smirking as he ruffled Souto’s hair. “Tough day, huh, little bro?”

“Don’t call me that!” Souto snapped, swatting his hand away.

“Whatever you say... little bro,” Shinso teased, clearly enjoying himself.

Souto growled, but before he could launch into another tantrum, Aizawa spoke up.

“Enough. Both of you. Dinner’s in an hour, and I don’t want to hear any fighting until then.”

The brothers exchanged a glance, both silently plotting their next move. Souto’s return to full strength might have been a blessing for him, but for the rest of the household, it was just the beginning of another whirlwind of chaos.
