Earlier tonight, when we were about to close our library, Fianna walked closer to me I assumed she needed to talk so I directed my entire attention on her.

"Saff, would you like to go to a christmas shopping with me?" She asked with a spark of hope floating in her eyes.

"Uhm, christmas shopping?" I stumbled on my words.

I actually have never been to christmas shopping, not once in my entire life. It might sound insane for some, but I've never experienced the luxury of christmas shopping since my parents never were the festive people out there, It made me feel like I've lost so much during my lifetime, I didn't know how to miss christmas time and what it really stood for.

I couldn't say no to her either because I saw precisely how bad she wanted me to come, for the company I could manage but there's no way that christmas shopping activity could emerge any emotion out of me.

"Yeah, I know you don't really love christmas but I would love to have some company, you shouldn't be working late so please come with me!" She acknowledged, her eyes convincing, trying to please every ounce of me to finally give in and say yes to her.

"Alright..." just like I predicted, I wanted to give Fianna the pure happiness of having a companion during her shopping.

"But I am not going to express my opinion on anything" I said because I honestly didn't know anything about christmas.

"Deal!" She bursted out a laugh when she reached out to take her coat trimmed leather jacket, she looked like a wannabe rockstar, she always wanted to stand out for her unique fashion style.

I also took my winter coat and put it on, stuffing myself in to a warm scarf, the only thing that could keep me immensely warm, covering my neck and my ears completely with my scarf because I hated wearing hats.

We headed off into a huge shopping center, wherever my legs lead me I got caught with christmas decorations because they were practically everywhere. When we head inside the shopping center I was being suffocated by all these vibrant christmas decorations - colorful christmas lights, blinking and unblinking, fast and slow. Tinsels, neon lights of santas, candycanes and snowflakes. All these lights and the way they changed their colors made my eye sight swim.

I started to see different colors pass through my eyes it almost drove me nuts.

I followed Fianna to the christmas decoration store, she needed some new christmas decorations to make her apartment stand out more it seemed ridiculous to me. I couldn't see the point of decorating your home for a month to show everyone how brightly your room can glow and vibrate with thousands of colors.

Her face beamed with excitement when she saw reindeer statues we hovered over it she already pictured in her imagination how she could decorate the reindeer and where she would put it. I pressed my lips into a thin line not to show off a hint of annoyance on my face. Having a reindeer statue in your apartment? That sounded creepy.

She ended up buying bunch of christmas tree decorations, she told me she got her tree yesterday she wanted to decorate her own tree tonight, her excitement sparkled all over the store, her excitement and the cheerfulness in this store with a joyous christmas music playing through the speakers made her a whole, like she belonged here to infinity.

After the decoration shopping we headed over to buy christmas gifts, I mean not me, she will buy the majority of gifts she needed in her list.

Two hours or more had passed when Fianna made it to the finish line with her christmas shopping, you could see how her heart radiated with bliss and serenity. A peaceful smile plastered on her face.
