As he lay alone on a bed of dust,
his bones grew brittle, his soul unjust.
He whispered a prayer to the empty skies,
"Thank you for the pain, the tears, the lies."His passion, his hope, his dreams of gold,
all turned to ash as his body grew cold.
The maggots came to feast on his flesh,
a final mockery of love's cruel jest.He died as he lived, with a heart too full,
in a world too sharp, too rough, too cruel.
For a boy who loved with a soul so deep...was left with nothing...
but endless sleep.
And in the end, all he found was this:
There is no love, just an empty abyss.
A boy's love died in a man's final sigh,
a cruel reminder that feelings are meant to die.
