Bradleys POV

I was the best fucking quarterback in the NFL and I knew it, I got drafted 5th round back in 2017, which wasn't the start I hoped for, Coaches were wary of a bad knee that I had which dropped me down the draft order, but I won a Super Bowl in my first season, being one of only three players to ever do it.

My next few seasons were modest, Had a couple injuries that meant some extended stints on the sidelines, but in 2020, my knee blew out in a pre-season game and I was out for the year, our shitty now-cut backup QB taking us to a pathetic 4-11.

Since then, I went from injury-prone, washed at 25, should give up to the best player in the league, Something clicked inside me after that 4-11 season, I wanted to never do that bad again, even though I didnt play a single snap that whole year.

Since then we haven't looked back, Made playoffs every year, Made a Super Bowl but got cheated by the refs, and now we were back to 9-2, I was playing the best football I had ever played and when we got my former college teammate Saquon Barkley in the off-season from our division rival, things got even better.

I was a hero in Philadelphia and I knew it, I was born here, grew up here, played college at Penn State then got drafted here, I wanted to never leave and to prove that, I signed a 10 year, 1 billion dollar deal with the Eagles last year, I would be here until I was 38.

Thats why I played with so much energy, so much thirst for success and Super Bowl wins, because I had been through all the pain and suffering that Eagles fans go through, I didnt want that anymore.

*****

We were playing the Ravens today, They are 8-4 and have one of the best QB-RB duos in the NFL, but I knew we had better, Saquon and I were both playing our best football.

I had thrown for 3 touchdowns and 254 yards before half-time and Saquon had ran for a touchdown himself, so we were pretty happy when we came into the two minute warning, up 28-14.

The Ravens punted again, leaving us two minutes to go three scores up before half-time, and we got the ball back at the start of the second half too, so if things went our way, we could be four touchdowns up pretty soon.

I gave the ball off to Saquon first, running down the clock a bit as he ran 35 yards, then 30, bringing us into the redzone, then I took the ball for a run and wound up at the 1 yard line, with 20 seconds on the clock.

This meant one thing, and everyone knew what it was, the play with a 99% success rate, The Tush Push, We all lined up ready to run the play and before I knew it, we were pushing it into the endzone, but the thing was, instead of going over the pack, I wound up going under the pack and I could feel my shoulder pop out of place when one of the 350lb D-lineman jumped on top of me.

I got a bit worried when I heard a crack, but that mightve been from the other guys leg, which he was now on the ground grabbing at when we all pulled each other off, The ref's called a touchdown but I was still on the ground, waves of pain shooting up my shoulder, the first thing I thought was thank god it was my non-throwing arm.

I hadnt been hurt in 3 and a half seasons, I had played every single game, now I was in some of the worst pain ever.

"Get him off" I heard one of the coaches yell, unsure if it was us or the Ravens, I got myself up but I was still grabbing at the shoulder, trying to not make it visible that I was in pain but failing at that as I noticed Kellen Moore, our OC, tell me to come off.

I sat down next to Saquon and A.J Brown, our star wide-receiver, who noticed something was wrong right away, According to them my shoulder was sticking out in a place it shouldnt be and they signaled the team doctor over.

"No, Dont, I gotta play the second half" I told them but they werent having it.

"We're up three touchdowns, I'm sure we'll be okay" A.J told me as I noticed one of our doctors come over to us.

"Bradley, Your coming down to the locker rooms" The doctor, who must be the new one and who happened to be very pretty told me right away.
