--------------------

Looking behind him, [Y/N] silently waves goodbye to the ancient temple, as it collapses into ruins, leaving behind a legend to tell. He walks through the dense jungle, one he had forgotten since he had ventured into the abyss. The sounds of creaking leaves echoed the noisy area. With the Blazing Sun intact, strapped around his waist, he was prepared for what to come. But he hasn't mastered it yet.

His goal is simple: Master the Blazing Sun and the Shark Anchor.

From what he had heard, the legends told that the Blazing Sun could control the power of flames hotter than the sun itself. When [Y/N] was nine, he was intrigued by the legend of the Blazing Sun. He has always dreamed of this moment.

He spots the shore line not too far away from where he is standing. His boat is still at the exact place he had left it. [Y/N] decides to stay on the island for a short time, mastering the power of water with the Shark Anchor and controlling the flames of the Blazing Sun.

From the legends he had heard, "...the user must connect the essence of their soul to the sword, forming an unbreakable bond between the weapon and the user to control the flames of the Sun God..." This seemed very difficult. Linking one's soul to an object, more specificly a katana?

[Y/N] had a long way to go. But first, he wanted to master the Shark Anchor first, as it seemed the easiest.

(insert training montage)

He went to find whatever he could. With the Shark Anchor in his hands, he's ready to encounter anything. But he finds...organisms smaller than your own hand. From butterflies to geckos, to fiery moths, there was nothing to compete with in the dense jungle. [Y/N] is desperate for an animal to face for him, but he finds nothing.

He keeps searching. For hours upon hours, [Y/N] stumbles across the ruins of the fallen trial temple, and keeps discovering new insects and small amphibians. He wants to venture into the ocean, but deep down [Y/N] knew he couldn't give up.

At last, he finds something out of the blue. Thinking that its an animal, [Y/N] slices the ground around it with the Shark Anchor. He drops the anchor onto the floor, a loud bump ringing the air and scaring off other animals. But the object was intact. This wasn't an animal.

This was a Devil Fruit.

Rare and coveted, Devil Fruits were said to grant unimaginable powers. The fruit before him was unlike any he had seen, with a gray-blue skin patterned like scales and a shape resembling a crocodile's head. The stem curled out of its "mouth," and it exuded an eerie allure. Could this be a Fish-Fish Fruit? Only a taste would reveal its true nature. The devil fruit was colored in a gray-blue skin with the outer layer indicating scales. This was probably a Fish-Fish Fruit, but if [Y/N] wanted to know, he had to take a bite.

But once you take a bite, you can never revert it.

[Y/N] picks up the fruit cautiously. He decides to save it for now, storing it into his brown-leather textured patch on his waist. But the curiousity peaks up, as if a sixth sense of him is telling [Y/N] to eat it.

The temptation was too much. He removes the devil fruit out of his patch, and slowly but surely, takes a small bite. The taste was...weird. It almost tasted exactly like chocolate, the sweetness melting in [Y/N]'s mouth. He takes another bite, the sweetness savoring in his mouth. After a few moments, what was a devil fruit now was just a green stem.

Moments passed before he noticed the changes. His senses sharpened dramatically, every sound and movement in the jungle now amplified. He felt a strange pressure on his shoulders and looked down to see black spikes protruding from them. Were they for offense, defense, or some other purpose? Whatever they were, he felt the power coursing through him, both exhilarating and alien.

[Y/N]'s vision sharpened beyond human capability—he could see more, perceiving details and movements invisible to the naked eye. Confused and intrigued, he instinctively reached up to touch his face, only to feel something startling: an extra pair of eyes.

Fumbling for his mirror, he pulled it out with trembling hands. The reflection staring back at him was almost unrecognizable. Two additional eyes had appeared above his original ones, each glowing with an unsettling yellow hue and slit pupils reminiscent of a snake's.

It was as if the Devil Fruit he had just consumed wasn't merely changing him—it was enhancing him in ways he couldn't yet comprehend.

His instincts told him to go into the beautiful ocean, where he could find better prey to scavenge.

After a series of failed attempts, [Y/N] couldn't help but question if his instincts were starting to prove true. With determination, he dove into the warm, blue ocean, surprisingly hitting the water with perfect precision. Schools of fish swam around him, while black-tipped sharks circled in the distance. It was a hunting ground, and [Y/N] knew he didn't want to become the prey. Just then, a deafening roar echoed through the water, catching [Y/N] off guard. In an instant, the sharks and fish scattered in a frenzy.

[Y/N] was very confused, wanting to chase after the fish, but his curiousity peaked up, and wanted him to discover the sound. The sound was deafening, almost scaring away everything but the jellyfish in the nearby corner. They were mindlessly drifting along the ocean currents. [Y/N] decided to stay near the jellyfish, but a loud growl was heard behind him. [Y/N], very cautious, turned around to reveal a waterdragon with a hammer-shaped head, and teeth that were stained in blood.

[Y/N] was torn, torn between chasing after the fish and investigating the mysterious sound that had piqued his curiosity. The noise was deafening, its intensity almost scaring off every creature nearby, leaving only the jellyfish to drift aimlessly in the currents. Mesmerized by their peaceful movement, [Y/N] decided to remain close to them. But just as he settled, a menacing growl echoed from behind him. Slowly, he turned around, his heart racing, to find himself face to face with a fearsome water dragon. Its hammer-shaped head loomed ominously, and its blood-stained teeth gleamed in the dim light.
