Embarrassment flooded my entire being as I flushed scarlet, rendering me speechless. I hastily shoved the piece of clothing back into place and dashed to the bathroom to freshen up. The bathroom was stunningly elegant, and I couldn't help but notice the luxurious bathtub.

However, I didn't have time to admire the bathroom's beauty. I quickly began to freshen up, removing my dirty and torn dress - the same one Omar had bought for me with the money he stole from the heartless monster, Louis. I felt a wave of disgust wash over me as I rumpled the dress and threw it in the trash can.

As I gazed at my reflection in the mirror, I gasped in horror at the sight of the purplish bruises covering my abdominal area. The bruises were a harsh reminder of Louis's cruelty, and I couldn't believe I had forgotten his brutality just because he showed me a hint of care.

I loathed myself for falling for his tricks and forgetting what he did. I realized I needed to be more discerning and focused, as I couldn't afford to be taken off guard by Louis again.

After freshening up and performing my prayers, I lay on the soft mattress, staring at the ceiling as I reminisced about the twists and turns of the day. The events had taken an unexpected turn, leaving me reeling.

As I waited, lost in thought, I heard a knock on the door. It was Louis, his gaze trailing from my head to toes as I felt myself shrink under his scrutinizing stare. He turned on his heel, and I followed him, helpless like a lost dog.

We descended the stairs, and I wondered what Louis was up to. He led me to a dining room that resembled a royal feast hall. The tables were laden with a scrumptious meal, and my stomach growled in response.

The aroma of the food wafted through the air, making my mouth water. I couldn't remember the last time I had eaten a proper meal. Louis took a seat, gesturing for me to join him. I sat across from him, feeling his unwavering stare as I ate.

I tried to focus on the food, but Louis's gaze made me feel uncomfortable. I couldn't eat much despite my hunger, and I eventually stopped.

Why did you stop? finish it completelyLouis commanded . I reluctantly obeyed, forcing the rest of the meal down my throat.

After I finished, Louis stopped me from carrying the plates to the kitchen. "Sit down, little girl," he commanded, his voice stern. "I want to make something clear to you. You better take my words seriously." He leaned toward me, his eyes gleaming with a serious expression.

I gulped, sensing a warning. "Me getting you new clothes and feeding you is not out of my character," he stated. "I'm only doing this for you to get comfortable on your first day, to avoid any mishaps." He paused, his eyes narrowing. "Don't think for a second that this is an act of kindness. I'm only doing it for you to get comfortable on your first day, to avoid any mishaps.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I listened to his words. His tone was cold and calculating, and I knew I had to be careful around him.

"Don't think that you're special or that you're going to receive any special treatment," he continued. "You're nothing but a mere slave, expected to do nothing more than obeying my every command."

I felt a surge of anger at his words, but I knew I had to keep my emotions in check. I couldn't afford to antagonize him, not yet.

"Yes, sir," I replied, trying to keep my voice neutral.

Louis's eyes narrowed, and he leaned back in his chair. "Good," he said. "I'm glad we understand each other. Now, let's get down to business."

He pulled out a small folder from his pocket and slid it across the table to me. "This is your new identity," he said. "Study it carefully, and make sure you memorize every detail."

I opened the folder, and my eyes widened as I saw the contents. There was a new name, a new address, and even a new backstory. I felt like I was being erased, like my entire identity was being wiped away.

I looked up at Louis, and he was watching me with an intense gaze. "Do you understand?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.

I nodded, feeling a sense of trepidation. I knew I was in over my head, but I also knew I had to play along. At least for now.

"Yes, sir," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady.

Louis's eyes seemed to bore into my soul, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I knew I was trapped, and I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to escape.

After a few moments of intense silence, Louis spoke up, his voice cold and menacing. "You look like you're about to collapse," he sneered. "You're going to need your strength for tomorrow, when you start your duties as my personal maid."

I nodded, feeling a wave of fatigue wash over me. I had been through so much in the past 24 hours, and I was running on empty.

"Get out of my sight and go to your room," Louis barked. "You'll start your duties tomorrow. And let me make one thing clear: I expect nothing but perfection from you. Any mistakes, and you'll suffer the consequences."

I nodded hastily, feeling a surge of fear at his words. I quickly got up from my seat and made my way back to my room, eager to escape Louis's hostile presence.

As I lay down on the bed, I felt my eyelids growing heavy. I knew I had to be strong, but for now, I just let myself drift off to sleep, haunted by the thought of what tomorrow would bring.
